Taking a break from their Los Angeles studio, the hosts of The View have been broadcasting live from Las Vegas - filming today’s (June 25) episode at Caesars Palace on the Sin City strip.
Visiting Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and friends on the set was pop-turned-country star Jessica Simpson, along with reality star Kim Kardashian and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe.
During the show, “Simpson talked about her new album and her friendship with country legend Dolly Parton, who sings along with Simpson on one of the songs on her new country album. Simpson said she couldn’t describe Parton as singing back-up on the song, and instead said that they sang along together.”
Jessica also gabbed about her rollercoaster relationship with Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo, saying they’ve been together “seven, almost eight months” and that she’s completely smitten!

Following their flight from Dallas, Texas to Los Angeles, California, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo were famished. So they headed over to Chili’s to meet Jess’ sister Ashlee and her new hubby Pete Wentz.
The perfect pair (they’ve been dating for seven months) looked happy as they approached the restaurant, although Pamela Anderson and her PETA peeps would have cringed at Simpson’s “Real Girls Eat Meat” t-shirt!
A witness told press, “Jess was giggling and grabbing onto Tony. They were both very natural and sweet with each other. It was cute to see the sisters and their guys having such a good time.”
Not usually one to speak up, Tony recently set the record straight concerning his girl’s father, as well as their relationship. Of the rumors that Joe Simpson was snooping in their personal life, Romo said, “It’s laughable.”
He also cleared up rumors that his father Ramiro Romo dislikes Joe. Tony reported that Joe and Ramiro “had a great time” at the Masters golf tournament they attended together in Augusta, Georgia earlier this year.

Drawing a close to her visit to New York City, Jessica Simpson packed her bags and headed over to LaGuardia airport on Wednesday to fly back to Dallas, Texas.
As one final stop before her departure, the “Come On Over” singer made time for lunch with a few friends at the Mexican restaurant Dos Caminos in Soho.
Meanwhile, Miss Simpson recently revealed plans to launch a lingerie line as an addition to her existing fashion products.
Jessica told Women’s Wear Daily: “I like different lingerie for different occasions. I think that’s the best thing about it. You can feel sexy or girly depending on your mood.”
Press reports tell that the range, named Jessica Simpson’s Intimates, will hit shelves in major department stores in the US and online beginning spring 2009.

Following a late night arrival in the Big Apple, Jessica Simpson and her mother Tina were spotted up bright and early on Tuesday morning (June 10).
And the rising country starlet looked cute in a white top, black jacket and a pair of black short shorts as she exited her hotel.
Regarding her foray into country music, Jessica recently told press, “It’s a spiritual thing for me, like ‘I know God has a plan and a purpose.’ For the first time in my life, I take a lot of pride in my talent and in the record I was able to put together.”
She continued, “With the writers, I felt comfortable opening up, because the only way this opportunity was going to be a great one was to be honest with myself and with them. If I want to be singing it for the rest of my life onstage, I want it to be honest.”
As for her naysayers, Miss Simpson commented, “Maybe they thought that I was just trying to stomp on their ground for a little bit and see what I could do, and then just go back and make another pop record. But I’m planning on making country for the rest of my life, and I don’t want to go back to that other world.”
