We hope Get Smart isn’t as bad as the reviews, but we doubt it’ll be as good as Steve Carell’s bit last night swapping places with the host last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Jimmy treads water painfully/hilariously while pretending to be Carell, who in turn fakes sincerity so well while playing host Jimmy that we wouldn’t be surprised to see Steve behind a talk-show desk some day.

She has been spending time in New York City with Ryan Adams as of late, but yesterday Mandy Moore looked to be getting back to her normal routine on the West Coast.
Given the beautiful weather in Beverly Hills, the “All Good Things” songstress saw fit to get a little shopping in, following a visit to a friend’s house in Sherman Oaks.
Sporting a semi-see-through white caplsleeve t-shirt and skin-tight black leggings, Mandy emerged from the exclusive department store with a shopping bag in one hand, and a wad of cash tips in the other. Talk about being prepared!
In related news, Miss Moore was recently the topic of conversation between talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and American Idol winner David Cook.
Cook told Kimmel that he desperately wanted to win AI in hopes of using the sudden celebrity status to arrange a meet-up with Mandy, though his hectic schedule hasn’t permitted him to do so as of yet.

A far cry from the overbearing, borderline-psychotic adoptive-mother-to-be she played in Juno, Jennifer Garner looked happy and relaxed to be spending time with her little girl yesterday.
The “Alias” hottie was spotted doing a little mother-daughter bonding with 2 ½-year-old Violet Affleck at the Brentwood Country Mart in Brentwood, California.
And she looked blissfully domestic in a white top underneath a beige cardigan with a black knee-length skirt and a pair of black flats, while Violet rocked a red and white summery dress with a pair of tiny white sneakers.
As for Jen’s hubby Ben Affleck, he was scheduled to film a segment along with his buddy Matt Damon for an ongoing Jimmy Kimmel Live lampooning at Game 4 of the NBA Finals last night.

ABC has reupped Jimmy Kimmel, opting to keep the viral video churner that is Jimmy Kimmel Live! on air through at least 2010.
Barring any Jay Leno network-jumping developments, the new deal means Kimmel will head up the battle of the late-night Jimmys when Jimmy Fallon takes over Conan O’Brien’s Late Show spot next year.
According to Variety, ABC’s decision for the early extension was due in part to the success of Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night, a series of six half-hour specials running in conjunction with the NBA Finals in which only the crème de la crème of guests are featuredmost recently, Barack Obama and David Cook.
The specials averaged roughly 3 million viewers, almost double that of his late-night audience.
Someone better break the news to Uncle Frank that retirement just got a little further away.
