Tobey Maguire Voted Worst Autograph Prospect

Tobey Maguire Voted Worst Autograph Prospect

Clearly trying out a new hairdo for the holidays, Tobey Maguire was spotted leaving his dinner at Mr. Chow restaurant last night in Los Angeles, California.

While the coif is questionable, he looked otherwise normal, in a pair of jeans and a v-neck sweater as he made his way to his car.

You can be sure the “Spider-Man” actor didn’t stop to give an autograph, though.  According to Autograph Magazine, he’s one of the worst celebrities when it comes to indulging fans with a signature or photo op.

At #2, Tobey was only beat out by legendary funny man Will Ferrell.  The best and worst celebrity autograph-givers are as follows:

The Worst:

1.  Will Ferrell

2.  Tobey Maguire

3.  Joaquin Phoenix

4.  William Shatner

5.  Renée Zellweger

6.  John Malkovich

7.  Julie Andrews

8.  Bruce Willis

9.  Terri Hatcher

10.  Scarlett Johanssen

The Best

2.  Matt Damon

3.  George Clooney

4.  Jack Nicholson

5.  Rosario Dawson

6.  John Travolta

Rate-a-Trailer: Pitt ’n’ Clooney in Burn After Reading

Brad Pitt’s been chasing an Oscar so much so recently, we almost forgot how funny the guy can be. Dig his clueless personal trainer dude blackmailing a CIA badass (John Malkovich) in this just-out trailer for Joel and Ethan Coen’s Burn After Reading. (Warning: This clip’s got some R-rated language, kids.) Better yet, just dig the highlights.

Too bad George Clooney doesn’t get as much room here, but, hey, look at that: The dad from Juno barking orders. Love that guy. Anyway, looks like a return to the zanier Lebowski-like Coen flicks we love the best (sorry, No Country for Old Men).

What do you think? Is Pitt on his game or just hamming it up with bad hair? Sound off in the comments.

Sofia Coppola Has a Baby Girl

Sofia Coppola Has a Baby Girl | Sofia Coppola Oscar winner Sofia Coppola has given birth to her first child, a baby girl named Romy, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The baby was born on Tuesday in Paris. The father is Coppola’s boyfriend, Thomas Mars, the French singer of the band Phoenix. The news was first reported by E!’s Marc Malkin.

“I’m so excited to have a little girl,” Coppola, 35, told USA Today in October.

Among the many joys of motherhood, she said, would be the chance to go on a good shopping spree or two. “All those little dresses,” she said. “It’s so fun to have little girl stuff.”

The couple met when Mars recorded a song with the band Air for Coppola’s 1999 movie The Virgin Suicides. That same year Coppola married director Spike Jonze (Adaptation, Being John Malkovich), from whom she split in 2003.

Most recently, Coppola wrote, produced and directed Marie Antoinette, starring Kirsten Dunst. In 2005, she won an Oscar for her screenplay for Lost in Translation, which she also directed.

As for the new little girl, the baby enters a talented family: Mom is the daughter of The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola and a cousin of actors Nicolas Cage and Jason Schwartzman, who also starred in Marie Antoinette.

Burn After Reading Red Band Movie Trailer

Burn After Reading

Focus Features has released a red band movie trailer for Burn After Reading. Written and directed by The Coen Brothers, this new dark-spy comedy stars Academy Award nominee John Malkovich as an ousted CIA official, whose memoir accidentally falls into the hands of two unwise gym employees (Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand) intent on exploiting their find. Also featuring George Clooney, Tilda Swinton and Richard Jenkins. It looks like the Coens have hit another home run. Could Burn after Reading be to No Country for Old Men what The Big Lebowski was to Fargo? As long as its not another Ladykillers, I’ll be happy. Watch the trailer below and tell me what you think in the comments!

You can watch the trailer in High Definition on Apple. Burn After Reading will hit theaters on September 12th 2008.
