Kevin McKidd Joining Grey’s Anatomy?
Like many people, I was miffed that Journeyman wasn’t picked up for another season. But maybe we’ll get our fix of Kevin McKidd at Seattle Grace next year.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the Scottish actor, who blew (some of) us away as the time-traveling journalist Dan Vasser on Journeyman, is in talks to join the cast of Grey’s Anatomy. The rumor is that McKidd would play a doctor who scrubs in at the hospital after a stint in Iraq.
McKidd played soldier Lucius Vorenus in HBO’s short-lived Rome. You can also catch him in the upcoming films, Bunraku and Dylan, in which he plays Wales poet Dylan Thomas.
Signing on for Grey’s would accomplish a few things in my mind. It would give McKidd’s fans a chance to see him every week. It would give Grey’s Anatomy a much-needed shot in the arm of fresh talent. And it would give the show a ripped-from-the-headlines feel by injecting some world events into the mix. What do you think?
Lauren Conrad is a Bar Hopper
Lauren Conrad is a Bar Hopper
Part of being a Hills hottie is being out and about for all of the Tinseltown action. And last night Lauren Conrad made her rounds, stopping at two different clubs before the night was over.
The brunette babe was first spotted arriving at the celebrity-popular Crown Bar in West Hollywood, California. She looked flirty in a cream-colored top with a black skirt and black peep-toe heels.
And when she’d had her fill of the Crown scene, LC and her gal pals opted to relocate to the CocoDeVille night club for their late night needs.
During a recent interview with Glamour magazine, Lauren reportedly impressed journalist Petra Guglielmetti so much that she raved about the reality star in their new issue.
She described her as, “seemingly really sweet/almost a little shy. I wasn’t getting stuck-up vibes. When I needed to find the ladies’ room, she walked me there, despite 10 publicists who could have done so instead,” and, “shockingly well-spoken considering the inane dialogue we generally see her involved in on ‘The Hills.’ Recited tons of stats from memory when describing the new m.powerment initiative.”
Amy Winehouse: Banana Sandwich, Anyone?
As Amy Winehouse has shown before, sometimes the easiest way to gain access to the troubled singer is simply a matter of walking right up to her door.
In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, journalist Claire Hoffman recounts how she essentially did just that and was subsequently invited in for a beer and, um, banana sandwiches sprinkled with potato chips.
But of course, the hospitality didn’t end there.
The gracious hostess proceeded to share with her close friend of a couple of minutes some rather explicit photos of her and incarcerated hubby Blake.
Awkwardness aside, the conversation did manage to segue into whether or not the crooner has started work on a new album.
“It’s not so much about recording,” says Winehouse. “It’s about whatever.”
We’re not quite sure what that means, but we assume it’s just the banana sandwiches talking.
Vanessa Hudgens Dishes Out Love Advice
Vanessa Hudgens Dishes Out Love Advice
She’s one of the hottest young stars Disney has ever seen, and it seems Vanessa Hudgens is trying her hand at giving advice on love and relationships.
Recently, the High School Musical Hottie (who is currently in Utah filming HSM 3!) shared her perspective on what it takes to have a healthy and lasting bond.
Hudgens, who is dating co-star Zac Efron, commented, “If you really love someone, you shouldn’t have to work at it. You finish each others’ sentences and have the same sense of humor.”
During a recent interview, Vanessa and Zac displayed their very obvious love for each other, as observed by the journalist. “When [Vanessa] sees Zac, she runs over and they kiss, oblivious to the dozen of us in the room. She rubs his stomach, he puts his arm around her – these gestures say more than any statement she could make.”
FinallyFinally, Miss Hudgens cautions that girls shouldn’t go too far too fast. “You have to think it through, not just do something spur of the moment so that after it happens you won’t regret it. I think girls can be infatuated with their boyfriends and they have to remember [to put themselves] first.”
