TomKat’s Fourth of July Festivities
TomKat’s Fourth of July Festivities
There was a strong show of patriotism throughout the celebrity world yesterday, and Tom Cruise led the way - carrying his two-year-old daughter Suri while taking in the Fourth of July festivities near his home in Telluride, Colorado on Friday.
Accompanied by wife Katie Holmes and son Conner, 13, the Top Gun stud wore a cowboy hat while Suri donned a headband with two American flags sticking out of it.
Throughout their family stroll, Katie, who’s currently prepping for a Broadway gig, said “Happy 4th of July” to photographers before Tom and Co. drove off in their SUV.
Cruise recently talked about how he was “amazed” by his growing daughter, telling press: “She likes to dance and sing, get her nails done with mom - really beautiful!”
Ashlee Simpson: Out in Beverly Hills
Ashlee Simpson: Out in Beverly Hills
Now that she’s a few months along, Ashlee Simpson looks to be settling into her mother-to-be status quite nicely.
The recently-married pop singer was spotted out and about in Beverly Hills, California yesterday after visiting a friend’s house. And she looked perfectly preggers in a peach-colored maternity dress along with a matching headband and some black sunglasses.
And of course, the question that’s been on everyone’s mind (including Ashlee and her husband Pete Wentz) is ‘are they having a boy or a girl?’
Well, baby boutique Petit Tresor (the same store that was sued by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes for spreading rumors about their baby) has issued a claim that Simpson is expecting a boy following an all-blue shopping spree.
Katie Holmes’ Broadway Bow Set
Mark your calendars, Katie Holmes’ Broadway debut date has been set.
The producers of the revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons announced today that Mrs. Tom Cruise & Co. will begin previews Sept. 18 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. The curtain will officially go up Oct. 16, and the limited-run engagement is set to last through Jan. 11.

Instead of $100the average price for most Broadway showspremium seats for All My Sons’ evening performances are expected to go for a whopping $251, while regular seats will sell for $116. During the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas, those prices are expected to soar at least $100 higher.
Based on a true story of war profiteering and tragedy, Miller’s play originally opened in 1947 with a cast that included Ed Begley Sr., Beth Miller and Karl Malden. It ran for 328 performances, won Tonys for Best Play and Best Director (Elia Kazan) and was twice adapted to the big screen, in 1948 and 1986.
All My Sons will mark the 29-year-old Holmes’ first stage foray since her high school days in Toledo, Ohio.
Suri Cruise: Hostess With the Mostest (Toys)
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ new Beverly Hills palace served as ground zero for an A-list playdate Sunday.
A source tells News Suri Cruise was joined by David and Victoria Beckham’s broodBrooklyn, Romeo and Cruzfor the kid-superstar summit.
The tots broke for dinner at about 5 p.m. after tooling around in miniature cars, including a small-fry-size John Deere truck and Escalade.
Perhaps the parents cut short the playdate to watch the Lakers-Celtics game, because by the 6 p.m. tipoff, the young’uns had returned inside. David has been courtside for many L.A. games this season.
Let’s hope the kids played better than the Lakers, who lost their second game in a row.
