Kelsey Grammer has said aloha to his hospital bed.

The actor’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, said Wednesday that Grammer is back “resting comfortably at his Hawaiian residence,” four days after suffering what doctors characterized as a “mild” heart attack.

“Grammer…wishes to thank those who phoned, emailed or wrote expressions of concern to him,” Rosenfield said.

The five-time Emmy winner experienced symptoms Saturday morning after going paddleboarding with his wife, Camille, and was immediately taken to the hospital.

Kelsey Grammer’s next role will be the one of a recovering patient.

Publicist Stan Rosenfield has confirmed to News that Grammer suffered a “mild heart attack” while vacationing in Hawaii on Saturday and that the Frasier star is currently “resting comfortably” in a local hospital.

“He will be released from the hospital early this week,” the rep says.

The 53-year-old TV vet was staying at his Hawaiian home with wife Camille when he suffered the attack.

Per Rosenfield, the actor began experiencing symptoms in the morning, after paddleboarding with his wife. He was immediately taken to a nearby medical center, where it was determined he had suffered a mild attack.

A rep for Grammer says it happened Saturday morning as he was paddle boarding with his wife near their home in Hawaii. He immediately went to the hospital where doctors determined it was a mild heart attack. He’ll be in the hospital for a few days for observation.

Grammer was most likely enjoying a little time off before he returns to television this fall. His Fox sitcom, Back to You, was recently canceled but he quickly rebounded and took a role on an ABC comedy called Roman’s Empire. He’ll have the title role, actually, as Roman, the wacky patriarch of a wealthy and eclectic family. This new comedy is a departure, of sorts, for Grammer. Rather than the Frasier and Back to You-style sitcoms with multiple cameras, his new project is a single-camera venture.

When in Roman’s Empire…

The briefly unemployed and universally castable Kelsey Grammer, coming off just one season on Fox’s low-rated Back to You, has snatched up another prime-time gig, this time starring in an ABC comedy pilot.

Roman’s Empire centers on a young guy who gets dumped by his girlfriend but can’t seem to extricate himself from her overbearing billionaire family, the Prettysin particular, from the clan’s eccentric patriarch, played by Grammer.

The sitcom is based on the same named British series and began production over the holiday weekend. Ashton Kutcher’s Katalyst Films produces the pilot.
