Kid Rock: (Don’t) Steal This PSA
It has been said that sarcasm doesn’t always translate to print. It’s apparently having trouble in video form, as well.
Despite a clearly tongue-in-cheek video PSA posted on YouTube last week by Kid Rock in which he gives fans his approval not only to illegally download his music but to get sticky-fingered on all manner of other material needs, from Toyotas to iPods, the rocker has apparently decided to cover his tracks and clarify his remarks.
“I was just trying to have some fun with it,” he disclaimed to reporters today at the Buick Open Pro-Am in Michigan.
Too bad he had to go and spoil it with unnecessary clarification.
Kid Rock Hospitalized for Dehydration
Minutes before he was to hit the stage, Kid Rock pulled out of a performance in England Friday afternoon and was rushed to a hospital and treated for dehydration.
The 37-year-old rocker was scheduled to play at the Download Festival, a three-day British music concert that also featured Judas Priest, Incubus and The Offspring.
At the last minute, announcers told the audience that Kid Rock was unwell and wouldn’t perform. His rep later told reporters that his client was suffering from stomach cramps and dehydration.
Maybe the thought of ex-wife Pamela Anderson reuniting with Tommy Lee made him sick, too?

Recently announcing plans to leave Los Angeles for Nashville to work on a country-infused album, Jessica Simpson has taken the next step in her transformation from pop tart to country queen.
The Dukes Of Hazzard actress was spotted on Thursday night rubbing elbows with her new Country music colleagues, as she attended an event held in honor of Hank Williams Jr.
The CMT Giants show was taped before a live audience at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. According to press, “The artist lineup included performances by Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Kid Rock, Gretchen Wilson, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Buddy Guy.”
The two-hour special, CMT Giants: Hank Williams Jr., will premiere on CMT on Nov. 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Tommy Lee Lets Kid Rock Off the Hook
Tommy Lee Lets Kid Rock Off the Hook
Remember that little scuffle between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee at the MTV Video Music Awards last month? Well, Kid won’t be facing any criminal charges, and he has Tommy to thank.
According to an official press release by Chief Deputy District Attorney Ron Bloxham, “The Clark County District Attorney’s Office will not pursue a battery charge. It should be noted that Tommy Lee has requested that there be no prosecution relating to the incident and there were no injuries to either person.”
It looks like Lee isn’t such a bad guy after all. I mean, come on… Rock married his ex-wife and gallivanted around like a clown, and Tommy isn’t even pressing charges.
The “Cowboy” singer isn’t so lucky in the case of the Waffle House brawl in Atlanta, though. He’ll still face charges of battery in an upcoming court case.
