Kylie Minogue - The One Lyrics

Starlight shimmers everywhere
There’s a certain something in the air
Can you feel what I feel in me?
It’s in the air, electricity oh, oh

Glimmering under neon lights
I can see the look, that’s in your eyes
Like a shooting star in a galaxy
Making its way to the heart of me

I’m the one
Love me, love me, love me, love me
I’m the one
Love me, love me, love me, love me
I’m the one
Love me, love me, love me, love me
I’m the one
Love me, love me, love me, love me

My pulse is racing and I’m feeling high
Never-ending starts tonight
When you do what you do to me
Come on and let yourself feel the need in me, oh, oh

Circling and we’re getting close
Can you imagine, just suppose
It’s a feeling that I need to know
Close to touch like Michelangelo

I’m the one
Love me, love me, love me, love me
I’m the one
Love me, love me, love me, love me
I’m the one
Love me, love me, love me, love me
I’m the one
Love me, love me, love me, love me

Can you hear me?
I’m connecting with you
Can you feel me?
I’ll do anything to have you near me
I was wondering, will you reach me?

Can you hear me?
I’m connecting with you
Can you feel me?
I’ll do anything to have you near me
I was wondering, will you reach me?

I’m the one
Can you hear me?
I’m connecting with you
Can you feel me?
I’ll do anything to have you near me
I was wondering, will you reach me?

I’m the one
Can you hear me?
I’m connecting with you
Can you feel me?
I’ll do anything to have you near me
I was wondering, will you reach me?

Royal Reward: Music to Kylie’s Ears

Kylie Minogue

Here’s one honor Kylie Minogue no doubt can’t get out of her head.

The diminutive Aussie pop star was honored by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace Thursday, receiving an Order of the British Empire for her services to music.

“It is an incredible honor for me to receive this award,” she told the crowd and Prince Charles, who was filling in for mom Queen Elizabeth II at the ceremony.

“It makes me feel both humble and proud to be recognized for doing a job that I love so much.”

Minogue’s little sister and fellow pop princess, Dannii Minogue, was also on hand.

“It was surprisingly emotional,” the “Spinning Around” singer said afterward of her big day. “I expected to be a little nervous, obviously very excited, but it was very emotional seeing all these people from different walks of life joining together for this event.”

In addition to the 40-year-old Minogue, about a dozen other people received the honor.

The British OBE honor comes in the wake of another European laurel; earlier this year she received one of France’s top prizes, dubbed a Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters for the “cultural pleasure she has given French people.”

Enchanté, we’re sure.

Kylie Minogue Lends Her Voice To “Rent”

Kylie Minogue Lends Her Voice To “Rent”

There’s nothing like a good Broadway musical.  And in London’s West End Theatre District, one unlikely voice is being heard in the production of “Rent” that is currently running - Kylie Minogue.

The Aussie singer reportedly recorded a series of answering machine messages for the show, using varied accents and pitches.  Some of them were also digitally altered to make her sound like a man.

Minogue is buddy-buddy with the show’s director, William Baker, who has also worked as her creative director.

“Rent” has just opened at the Duke of York Theatre, and will be running for a long time, if history tells us anything about the show’s longevity.  Long live the altered voice of Kylie Minogue!

It’s not every day that a girl gets to wear $1 million worth of Swarovski crystals on a Dolce & Gabbana gown.  But Kylie Minogue wore it well at the world premiere of her documentary “White Diamonds.”

“Diamonds” is the two-hour saga of the Aussie singer’s battle back to normalcy after being diagnosed with breast cancer.  And during the film, Minogue was either in stitches or tears.

Also in attendance were Kylie’s “gay husband” William Baker and her little sis Dannii.  The event took place in London’s Leicester Square.  Dannii said, “I’m so proud of her. I’m so happy she’s able to work again — it makes her who she is.”

Apparently, Kylie wasn’t too keen on the project from the get-go.  She told the audience, “It wasn’t my idea, it was William Baker’s. I canned it five times before this. I was hoodwinked basically because I really tried to get out of it.”

Minogue continued, ” But he said, ‘This is who you are and we all love you for who you are’. There was a time when I’d been stripped of everything and depended on nothing, and I felt like I had everything in terms of love and support, and I think that had a lot to do with me agreeing to this.”

“White Diamonds” will be in limited release in theaters before releasing on DVD.
