Does Paris Hilton Swing Both Ways?
Does Paris Hilton Swing Both Ways?
After her little girl kissing incident the other night, Paris Hilton really isn’t doing very much to dispel rumors that she’s attracted to women. For instance, last night she showed up at the Hollywood premiere of the fifth season of Showtime’s “The L Word.”
The “Simple Life” starlet appears to be itching to get back on TV, and according to a source, “Paris wants to be on the show.” In fact, witnesses saw the blonde socialite chatting with L Word creator/producer Ilene Chaiken.
Hilton was sporting a black and tan mini-dress, black stockings and heels topped off with a black wig and hat. And she looked to be fitting in quite well with one woman, in particular.
Reportedly, Paris and Katherine Moennig did a little dancing, threw back a few shots, smoked a few cigarettes and continuously whispered in each other’s ears before making an exit, .bound for lesbian night at the Falcon restaurant. A source observed, “Paris and Kate were here holding hands.”
Trio Ticks to 24
Jack Bauer is enlisting the help of a Gossip Boy.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Eric Lively, Gil Bellows and Tony Todd have signed on to star in Fox’s two-hour TV prequel to 24, set to air this fall in advance of the seventh season premiere.
Lively is an L Word alum and, more importantly to a certain prized demographic, the older brother of Gossip Girl star Blake Lively. On the upcoming season, he is set to play the son of the president, who is inaugurated as Kiefer Sutherland’s alter ego takes care of international incident-type business in Africa.
Bellows, meanwhile, a TV vet best known for his role on Ally McBeal, will play a State Department officer who must serve Bauer with a Senate subpoena.
Chuck regular Todd is set to appear in both the prequel and the seventh season, signing on to play the African dictator General Juma.
Let the countdown begin.
CSI Finds Fresh Blood
Lauren Lee Smith can see dead people.
At least beginning this fall.
Looking to fill the void left by the departures of Gary Dourdan and Jorja Fox, The L Word veteran is joining CBS' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as a series regular, the network announced today.
The 27-year-old Smith will play Bryce Adams, described as a "smart, flirtatious and witty nonconformist" obsessed with the underbelly of society, who got into police work to rebel against her disapproving psychiatrist father. She joins Gil Grissom's crack squad working the night shift.
The Vancouver-born thesp had a recurring stint on Showtime's The L Word as sous chef Lara Perkins. Her film credits include last month's thriller Pathology, as well Art School Confidential and alongside Casey Affleck and Zach Braff in The Last Kiss. She teams up with Ashley Judd and Goran Visnjic in the drama Helen, due out in October, and will appear in next year's horror anthology Trick or Treat.
Fox and Dourdan both decided not to reup with CSI after failing to hash out new contracts. With Smith in place, producers still must fill the role of Ray Santoro, billed as a "handsome, smart and athletic" CSI who takes on the graveyard shift at the crime lab.
