Guy Ritchie in NYC to Snatch Time With the Family
What’s a Guy to do when Madonna is making headlines for her trips to the lawyer’s office rather than the recording studio?
Hop the next flight, of course.
A source tells News that Guy Ritchie touched down in New York Monday so he can spend as much time with the singer and their three kids as possible before she heads out on her next world tour.
“He has been planning for a long time to spend all of July in New York,” the source said. “It’s not a last-ditch effort to save the marriage.”
Whether that’s because the marriage is already over and there’s nothing to save remains to be seen. But for nowand for awhile nowthose close to the couple, including Ritchie’s mum, are quick to deny that there’s trouble at home.
The filmmaker was spotted tonight heading into the family’s Upper West Side apartment, where he’s aiming to stay.
“There are no plans to get a divorce,” our insider said. “She is working all the time, but they are still completely in love.” Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour kicks off Aug. 23 in Cardiff, Wales.
For Ritchie, the source added, the biggest issue in their marriage has been all the media attention.

American Idol champ Ruben Studdard has something to sing about.
The season two winner married Surata Zuri McCants, his girlfriend of two years, in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday. It’s the first marriage for the Velvet Teddy Bear.
The ceremony took place at Canterbury United Methodist Church and Studdard reportedly had 20 groomsmen by his side. The newlyweds had just filed for a marriage license in Alabama on Monday.
Studdard, 29, and McCants, 30, met in October 2006 at a Wal-Mart in Atlanta where he was signing CDs. He followed her to the toy aisle and got her phone number.
Now if only he could have the same success with a record label…

Sure to fuel ongoing rumors that her marriage is on the rocks, Madonna was spotted out sans wedding ring while being chauffeured around New York City on Thursday (June 26).
According to recent reports, Madge has already met with high-powered British divorce attorney Fiona Shackleton (Shackleton represented Paul McCartney in his split from Heather Mills. He ended up paying Mills only $48.6 million of the $160 million sought by Mills.).
Madonna and her director hubby Guy Ritchie, who married back in 2000, have endured breakup rumors for years. The couple does not have a prenup, according to The Times (Madonna is worth an estimated $600 million).
Back in May, Madonna denied marital strife, saying: “I had to marry a challenge because otherwise I would just get bored. Whatever else Guy is, he’s never boring … We’re both there to help each other and challenge each other.”
She added that she dedicated the love song “Incredible” (on her latest disc Hard Candy) to him.

The “27 Dresses” babe looked like a woman on a mission as she made her way around Los Feliz, California stopping off at her mother’s house before heading over to pal T.R. Knight’s pad.
Upon returning home, Heigl was pleasantly surprised to find that her missing pooch (who had snuck out of her backyard) had been safely returned by a neighbor.
Along with her decision to pull herself out of the Emmy race has come widespread speculation over whether or not she’s leaving her hit show “Grey’s Anatomy.” And hubby Josh Kelley recently told press he’s behind her either way. “I’m always supportive of Katie, no matter what she does.”
