America Ferrera was looking pretty in purple at the special screening of Under the Same Moon (La Misma Luna) last night (March 11).
The Emmy award winning Ugly Betty actress elegantly made her way along the red carpet at Grauman’s Egyptian Theater in Hollywood - complete with a big smile on her face.
As for the movie, Under the Same Moon tells “the parallel stories of nine-year-old Carlitos and his mother, Rosario. In the hopes of providing a better life for her son, Rosario works illegally in the United States while her mother cares for Carlitos back in Mexico.”
“Unexpected circumstances drive both Rosario and Carlitos to embark on their own journeys in a desperate attempt to reunite. Along the way, mother and son face challenges and obstacles but never lose hope that they will one day be together again,” a synopsis from Cinema Source adds.
Cold Case’s Danny Pino, Wife Have a Son
Cold Case actor Danny Pino and his wife Lilly welcomed a son, Julian Franco Pino, on Tuesday, Pino’s rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Julian, who weighed 7 lbs. and 15 oz., is the second child for Pino, 33, and his wife, 32, who have another son, Luca, 15 months.
“Mother and son are resting comfortably and Dad is thrilled beyond belief!” the actor’s rep tells PEOPLE.
Pino, who recently appeared in the films The Lost City and Flicka, plays detective Scotty Valens on CBS’s Cold Case.
Kevin Costner, Wife Have a Baby Boy
Kevin Costner and his wife Christine welcomed a baby boy, Cayden Wyatt Costner, on Sunday, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Cayden weighed in at 7 lbs, 14 oz at birth and has dark hair.
“Both mother and son are doing well,” the actor’s rep said in a statement.
Cayden is the first child for Christine Costner, 33. The Dances With Wolves Oscar winner, 52, becomes a dad for the fifth time. He has three adult children, Anne, 22, Lily, 20, and Joe, 19, from his former marriage to his college sweetheart, Cindy Silva, which ended in divorce in 1994.
He also has a 10-year-old son, Liam, from a relationship with heiress Bridget Rooney.
Costner and his wife of two and a half years had announced the pregnancy in February. Asked at the time how he was preparing for the arrival of the new baby, Costner replied, “There’s a lot of books to read!”
The couple began dating in 1998. They were married on Sept. 25, 2004, at the actor-director’s 165-acre ranch outside Aspen, Colo.
Deadwood’s Molly Parker Has a Boy
Deadwood actress Molly Parker and her husband, Matt Bissonnette, have welcomed their first child, son William Strummer Bissonnette, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
William, who was born last Friday in Los Angeles, weighed in at 8 lbs. and 12 oz.
“Both mother and son are doing well,” Parker’s publicist tells PEOPLE.
Parker, 34, plays Deadwood’s Alma Garret, a New York society woman who reinvents herself in a 19th-century South Dakota town. Recently she co-starred with Ben Affleck and Diane Lane in Hollywoodland.
Up next for the actress: her husband directs her in the upcoming drama, Who Loves the Sun.
