Ed Westwick’s 21st Birthday Bash at TAO

Ed Westwick’s 21st Birthday Bash at TAO

He’s considered one of the hottest guys on television. And last night, Ed Westwick had a celebrity-sized celebration for his 21st birthday at TAO Night Club inside the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

The “Gossip Girl” stud was all decked out for the evening, looking festive in a black suit with a white button-up shirt and black tie as he posed for the paparazzi outside the shindig.

And it seems Westwick is the latest guy rumored to be the gay lover of his GG costar Chace Crawford.  After blogs claimed they had shared an open-mouth kiss on the set of their show, the rumors began to fly.

But Crawford’s rep vehemently denies any such claims, stating, “These endless rumors are absolutely untrue.” Earlier this year, Chace was supposedly linked to former N’Sync singer JC Chasez.

The “Bye Bye Bye” hunk told press, “That whole story got blown out of whack.  It was so stupid, but I’m happy for him because his show is doing great, and he is a great guy.”

Mandy Moore Rocks the Roxy

Mandy Moore Rocks the Roxy

If you happened to be at the Roxy club in Los Angeles last night, you probably noticed Mandy Moore singing her little heart out onstage for the Gimme Shelter Annual Christmas Benefit.

And in a recent interview, the “Candy” singer talked about the long road she’s traveled in the entertainment industry, most notably touring with the Backstreet Boys and N’Sync earlier in her career.

She said, “I had a crush on a different guy every day of the week!” But then-15-year-old Mandy had one boy with whom she was particularly interested… Justin Timberlake.

“I don’t even think they knew I was there,” she said, referring to her boyband tourmates/crushes.  As for JT’s charming skills?  They were non-existant.

Mandy recalled, . “I think he was trying to be cute. He told me, ‘You have big feet for a girl.’”

Let’s hope for Jessica Biel’s sake that the “SexyBack” singer has evolved since then.

Backstreet Guy Headed to Prison

Lou Pearlman

First Lou Pearlman cooked the books. Now one is being thrown back in his face.

The boy-band mastermind was sentenced Wednesday in Orlando to 25 years in federal prison for bilking investors and banks out of nearly $300 million by selling worthless stock in a bogus company and falsifying numerous financial statements.

“I’m truly sorry, your honor, to all the people who have been hurt and victimized by my actions,” Pearlman, who pieced together the Backstreet Boys and ’N Sync in the 1990s, said in a statement.

“Over the past nine months since my arrest I’ve come to realize the harm that has been done. I now want to do whatever I can to help resolve that harm.”

To avoid more serious charges, the disgraced entrepreneur pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy and single counts of money laundering and making a false claim in a bankruptcy filing and agreed to help anyone involvedfederal and state regulatory agencies, the FBI, the IRS, banks, whomevertrack down his unnamed coconspirators and as much of the money as possible.

Senior U.S. District Judge G. Kendall Sharp told Pearlman he’ll shave a month off his sentence for every $1 million he recovers.

“I’m going to give you the keys to your jail cell,” Sharp said in court today.

Meaning, Pearlman can skip his 300 months in prison altogether if he can come up with the whole $300 million right away.

“I think truly, in Mr. Pearlman’s mind, he always meant to make good on his obligations,” defense attorney Fletcher Peacock said today in arguing for more lenient terms. “Mr. Pearlman did live large, if you will, but judge, he was in the entertainment business.”

But the judge seemed a little more concerned with the investors’ plight than Pearlman’s.

“It turns out they’re all his family, close friends and people in their 80s who have lost their life savings,” Sharp said.

“The sympathy factor just doesn’t run very high with the court.”

NKOTB: As Organic as Your Strawberries

New Kids on the Block The New Kids on the Block may have paved the way for more contemporary boy bandsthink 'N Sync or the Backstreet Boysbut don't go labeling them as a manufactured group.

"I went to school with Danny, Jon and Jordan since first grade," Donnie Wahlberg told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM morning show while promoting their new single "Summertime." (Hear it below!)

"It was very organic…There was definitely no big machine or anything. The machinethat’s one of the misconceptions of the group. Because of the later boy bands that came. People churning out these boy bands."

But no hard feelings for 'N Sync, as Jon admitted to having a little place for the band in his heart:

"I’ve always been partial to ‘N Sync, personally. But you know, I’m a softie."

Listen to the new single "Summertime," and then let us know what you think! Should other boy bands be worried?
