Trump Party Draws Klum, Moore and Watts
Trump Party Draws Klum, Moore and Watts
Always a lover of the finer things in life, Donald Trump held a lavish affair celebrating his newest hotel venture in Dubai at the Park Avenue Plaza in New York City on Monday night (June 23).
Among the Hollywood stars joining Donald, wife Melania and his two children, Donald Jr and Ivanka, were Demi Moore, Heidi Klum and Naomi Watts.
According to press reports, Donald threw the party to “celebrate the launch of the Trump International Hotel & Tower Dubai, which will be his first residence and hotel in the desert oasis city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.”
During the course of the evening, Ms Watts spoke with ET, saying: “Mr. Trump invited me and, yeah, I would love to be invited to his new hotel. It’s such an incredible developing business world there [in Dubai] and the biggest building boom sensation going on right now.”
Talking about his new project, Donald enthusiastically told press: “It’s going to be a spectacular building—the best any where in the world—in a great, great place: Dubai.”

There’s just something about New York City - the energy, the nightlife, the theaters - that attracts all kinds of celebrities. And Nicole Kidman was in town yesterday for an exclusive screening of “Margot at the Wedding.”
The Aussie actress was spotted at the Grand Hotel in Tribeca, along with Jennifer Jason Leigh and hubby Noah Baumbach. And from the looks of it, “Margot” is going to be an understated hit.
Though she’s married to Keith Urban now, Nic was once in Katie Holmes’ shoes, as the wife of megastar Tom Cruise. In a recent interview, she got real about her last marriage.
The “The Others” actress told press, “Tom and I, we moved and moved and moved. Your sense of where do I come from becomes less and less relevant. A lot of my life, particularly when I was working so much, it was about trying to fill in the gaps. Now there’s much more reason to exist in the world without my identity needing to be through work.”
And funny enough, she’s on her way to Germany, where her ex just wrapped filming “Valkyrie.” “I’m going to Germany to do a film called The Reader for six weeks. Naomi Watts, my girlfriend, is going to be shooting in Berlin. She just had a little baby. She’s doing a film with Clive Owen there. I don’t know Germany at all. I’ve been to the Berlin film festival, and that’s it.”

Although she’s still reeling from the loss of Heath Ledger, actress Naomi Watts was among those joining this year’s 16 Tropfest finalists on the red carpet at Sydney’s Domain on Sunday (February 17).
According to press reports, “In its 16th year, Tropfest is promoted as the world’s largest short film festival, with finalists selected from a field of 600 entries from around the globe.”
Dressed in denim jeans, boots and a short-sleeved blouse, Watts, who was presenting the Balance Water Women in Film Award, posed for the photographers on hand, but refused to talk to reporters as she made her way down the carpet.
Nonetheless, the event has already been deemed a success, with Tropfest creative director John Polson saying: “It is probably a little early to say, but this is probably one of the biggest if not the biggest (Tropfests) we’ve had.”
Happy Birthday, George Clooney!

UPDATE: I’ve got more details for you from George Clooney’s birthday bash.
There were actually two birthday cakes made by cake and pastry company How Sweet It Is! One was for Clooney in the shape of Italy, where he owns a villa.
The other was for David Beckham, who turned 33 on Friday. The soccer star’s cake was in the shape of the United States.
I’m told John Mayer performed and Sarah Silverman even shocked some party guests when she spent some time working as Bungalow 8’s doorperson.

George Clooney turns 47 today, but the world’s most famous hunk started celebrating last night.
Giorgio Armani hosted a birthday bash for the Oscar winner after the Costume Institute Gala. It was invite-only, a source reports, for about 100 people at Amy Sacco’s legendary hot spot Bungalow 8. Clooney picked the venue, I'm told.
So just who made the VIP guest list?
Powerhouse RSVPs included Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, David and Victoria Beckham, Naomi Watts, Hilary Duff, Donatella Versace, the Olsen twins, Clive Owen, TV Superman Tom Welling, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and her entertainment editor, Jill Demling, CAA superagents Bryan Lourd and Kevin Huvane, Chace Crawford, Emmy Rossum, Zac Posen, Kate Mara, professional golfer Adam Scott and, of course, Clooney’s girlfriend, Sarah Larson.
There was even a birthday cake. And yes, most everyone joined in to sing “Happy Birthday.”
No word if Clooney actually had some of the high-calorie dessert because, I’m told, he and Cruise were overheard at the Met talking about healthy eating habits and their trainers.
It’s still unclear if good friend Julia Roberts made it to Bungalow. “I didn’t see her,” one partygoer said. “But it was so crowded, she could have been and I just didn’t see her.”
Socialista was another after-party hot spot. Many A-listers stopped in there before heading to Clooney’s soirée, including Welling, Posen and Mary-Kate Olsen. Among the other boldfaced names crowding Socialista were Michelle Trachtenberg, Ellen Barkin, Dita Von Teese, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, and Proenza Schouler design duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.
