Natasha Bedingfield Gets Busy at Atlantis
When it comes to luxurious Caribbean vacations, it’s hard to beat the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas. Just ask Natasha Bedingfield… she’s been there all week.
The “Pocketful of Sunshine” singer started her week off right grabbing some sun in her bikini during the Pop Rocks concerts at the Atlantis Resort.
She also took some time out to get to know an underwater friend a bit better. The “Unwritten” singer took a swim with a dolphin at Dolphin City in Atlantis.
Then, yesterday, the British songbird performed at a jam session in the $25,000 per night Bridge Suite at her resort. And she looked plenty sexy, showing off her tight abs in a rolled-up t-shirt.
Fergie Gives Back with the Peapod Foundation
Fergie Gives Back with the Peapod Foundation
Last night was a big night for the Peapod Foundation. The Black Eyed Peas showed up and did a benefit concert, and shared their hearts about helping out the less fortunate.
Before the gig, Fergie told press, “Travelling around the world and seeing disease and poverty, for me it’s about giving back.” And she’s certainly giving back. Earlier this year, the group opened the Peapod Music and Arts Academy for kids in foster care/at risk teens.
BEP’s Taboo explained that he’s been trying to help out for quite some time. “We’ve been doing this since 1999 and it started with a toy drive for kids in Pasadena, but now we have all these artists coming to support us and it’s good because we give back to the community and now to all different countries. Next we’re probably going to do one in the Philippines and in Mexico.”
Along with the “Get it Started” crew, a there were a couple other celebrity appearances during the night. Velvet Revolver axeman Slash joined the Peas onstage, and Natasha Bedingfield even showed up for a performance. She revealed that she’s pulling for fellow Brit Amy Winehouse at the upcoming Grammys. “I really hope she wins, she deserves to.”
Burning Q’s: Mayer’s Mug & a Pocketful of Sunshine
Don't you think those pictures of Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are fairly telling? She's hanging all over him, and he looks bored. Why why why does Jen do this to herself?Angela, Knoxville
Looking bored is required to keep your faux-alt-rock membership card in good standing, silly. And now behold, as I tackle some more of your Burning Questions.
Did Britney Spears' dad Jamie get arrested this week?M.S.
Nope.
Recently on American Idol, there was a blond guest singer from England. What was her name and the name of the song she sang? Thank you.Tony, Ellicott City, Md.
Natasha Bedingfield. She sang her new single, "Pocketful of Sunshine."
Why do celebrities who are biracial, like Halle Berry, always state that they are black? Aren't they biracial and not one or the other, or am I not understanding? No Name, No City
Actually, Berry's preferred term is "woman of color," as in, "The struggle for a woman of color to find good material is still very present, and it's a struggle I fight every day," and, "I started in this business 20 years ago, and I've always had to struggle, being a woman of color." Now, as a woman of hotness, I have to get out of here.
Scorned Bachelorette Back for More
There's one name by which a rose can smell a little sweeterwhen they're being handed out by a dumpee-no-more.
Bachelor also-ran DeAnna Pappas, who was rejected at the last minute by Brad Womack for all the world to see last fall, will return as ABC's fourth star on The Bachelorette when the romance reality show kicks off May 19.
The 26-year-old brunette Georgian real-estate agent quickly became (ABC publicists assure us) a "fan favorite" when she competed for Womack's attentions last year, only to be rebuffed alongside fellow finalist Jenni Croft, when the so-called gentleman pulled a Kelly Taylor and chose himself in the series finale, opting to stick with the singleton lifestyle.
In addition to the inherent pleasure associated with 25 men battling it out for Pappas' affections, this season will also feature a backstage visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, a private concert by Natasha Bedingfield and a dream date for a select few bachelors to Dodger Stadium to meet with Hall of Fame former manager Tommy Lasorda.
Sounds like it's not just figurative hardball the suitors are playing this year.
