British gameshow pornography - VIDEO

Ah, isn’t the best porn FOUND porn? From 1986 through 2004, there was a popular English game show called Catch Phrase (we had a version in America, but like tea drinking and civility, we ditched it after only a very brief run). Here’s how the bonus game on the show worked: nine blocks covered up a short video snippet. The blocks were removed randomly and the first contestant to correctly guess what phrase was being represented by the video won some British prize (like a top hat or a subcontinent or something).

In the following video, the randomized blocks’ perfect placement over the animation combines with the dirty-minded twelve-year-old that lives inside all of us to hilarious effect. Every time a block is removed, the animation just looks more and more filthy. Even better is the reaction of the contestants and the host, who, about ten seconds in, decide to abandon any hope of getting through the animation without losing their minds with laughter. The video after the jump.

Have I mentioned how much I love the internet? Imagine living in a world where something like this remains buried on some decomposing VHS tape. A chilling, chilling thought.

(By the way, it was brought to my attention by eagle-eyed editor Joel Keller that this video has apparently been making the rounds for quite some time. Like Homer Simpson discovering the internet — they have the internet on computers now!? - I seem to be a little behind the curve. Taking a page out of NBC’s publicity department, we decided to post it anyway. Because, after all, if you haven’t seen it … it’s new to you.)

Take a sneak peek at The Office webisodes

Kevin is prominently featured in the newest batch of Office webisodes.July is right around the corner, which means just one thing … new webisodes of The Office. Starting July 10th, you’ll be able to tune into the NBC website to view the latest adventures of the characters that normally don’t have top billing during the normal seasons. And yet, they are just as funny (sometimes funnier) than the big stars that grace the show week after week.

As we reported back in May, this set of webisodes will feature Darryl, Oscar and, most prominently, Kevin. The plot of these webisodes are a bit fuzzy from the previews, but it seems that Kevin is in a bit of financial trouble and needs to take a loan out in order to cover some losses. During this time he is taken under the wing of Darryl, who helps Kevin reach his goals. All that, and we get to see Darryl wear a suit.

There are two videos after the jump. The first features scenes from the upcoming webisodes. The second is a behind the scenes look at the episodes by stars Oscar Nunez (Oscar), Craig Robinson (Darryl) and Brian Baumgartner (Kevin). It’s here that we learn that Brian has filmed the webisodes sans pants. Something that us fans probably didn’t want to know about.

Leno’s options: Could he replace Letterman at CBS?!

LenoYou know how people say stuff like “if CBS cancels Moonlight, I’m never watching that stupid network again!”? I think those proclamations are usually silly, but I might be in that group if the following happens: CBS replacing David Letterman with Jay Leno.

That’s one of the options listed in this handy Hollywood Reporter guide to what Leno will do after his stint on NBC is over in 2009. The other options are going to ABC at 11:35, going to FOX at 11:35, a syndicated show with Sony, he stays at NBC and does some other primetime show, he takes over for Larry King on CNN, or he goes back to doing standup full-time. Taking over for Letterman would happen if (and when - he could extend his contract) Letterman retires in 2010.

This would, to me, completely suck, even if Letterman did retire and wasn’t really “replaced” by Leno. But I think that Letterman would be hurt by that decision if CBS were to make it. Just this week we found out that Letterman has suffered his worst ratings since he started on CBS in 1993, for the 18-49 demo anyway, getting a 0.9.

It would certainly be odd to see Leno replace Letterman at CBS, almost like it would be the final nail in the late night talk show coffin and final proof that when it’s all said and done, Leno beat Letterman in the ratings and even beat him on his own network.

Nicole Richie Takes On “Chuck” Role

Nicole Richie Takes On “Chuck” Role

Escorted by her usual driver/handler, Nicole Richie continued along with her responsible ways by attending her weekly traffic school session on Wednesday (June 25).

And there’s good news coming out of the Richie camp, as the people at NBC have announced to People magazine that the former Simple Life star will be taking on a guest role on the sitcom Chuck.

According to the station’s reps, “Richie will play a snarky and spiteful girl who tortured actress Yvonne Strahovski’s character in high school. In the episode, airing sometime this fall, Strahovski’s character, Special Agent Sarah Walker, must face her fears when she is forced to attend her 10-year high school reunion, for a mission with costar Zachary Levi (Chuck) as her date.”

Executive producer Josh Schwartz seems excited about having Ms Richie on the set, telling press: “Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny. This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It’s going to be really fun.”
