Christina Applegate Mourns Former Beau’s Death
Some very sad news for Christina Applegate.
E! News has confirmed that an investigation is under way into the circumstances surrounding the death of 26-year-old Lee Grivas, an aspiring photographer who had been dating the Samantha Who? star off and on for more than two years.
“I am profoundly saddened,” Applegate said in a statement to News.
“Lee was an incredible human being who was an extremely important and beautiful part of my life. He is missed beyond words. He touched so many and I feel much sadness for his mother, brother and all of his family and friends.”
The Los Angeles Police Department said that a report was filed July 1 but would not divulge any further details, pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology tests.
“All I confirm is that a death report investigation for Lee Grivas has been taken,” Officer Julie Sohn said.
Authorities have also said, however, that Grivas had a history of drug abuse and that an officer found a syringe at the scene.
TMZ.com reported that a neighbor discoverd Grivas’ body on the living room floor of his Hollywood apartment on Tuesday. He was pronounced dead at 5:25 p.m.
According to published reports, Applegate started seeing Grivas in January 2006, a year after husband Jonathan Schaech filed for divorce. At the time, she was starring in a Broadway revival of Sweet Charity.
They reportedly split later that year but had been seeing each other again over the last few months.
“We’re very happy with each other,” Grivas, told People in 2006. “I like making her smile and she likes making me smile. It’s really innocent and fun.”

Upon returning home, Heigl was pleasantly surprised to find that her missing pooch (who had snuck out of her backyard) had been safely returned by a neighbor.
Along with her decision to pull herself out of the Emmy race has come widespread speculation over whether or not she’s leaving her hit show “Grey’s Anatomy.” And hubby Josh Kelley recently told press he’s behind her either way. “I’m always supportive of Katie, no matter what she does.”

According to an official police report, authorities arrested an undisclosed number of men outside the New York City home the “Fool’s Gold” actress earlier today.
It all started when a neighbor called 911 “after seeing what she thought were men on her roof with a rifle.”
As it turns out, the rifle was camera equipment, and the men were taken into custody for what was assumed to be trespassing. They’re still being held at press time.
Steve-O Avoids Jail After Guilty Plea in Coke Case
To hear him tell it, Steve-O’s days of jackassery are behind him and he’s ready for a cleanand soberslate.
The thrill-seeking former MTV star entered a guilty plea today in Los Angeles to a cocaine-possession charge, announcing to the court that he “found God” and has been sober for 85 days.
Attorney Barry Gerald Sands tells News that because of his client’s commitment and time in rehab, judgment was deferred upon successful completion of his treatment program.
“The entire case will be dismissed when he completes the program. It will be like it never happened,” says Sands. “You can’t beat that.”
The erstwhile Jackass star, who turns 34 on Friday the 13th, was busted for felony cocaine possession March 3 at his Hollywood apartment following a run-in with a neighbor.
Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, will stay in his undisclosed rehabilitation program until the next court hearing on July 8.
Adds Sands: “He’s a happy camper.”
