Brangelina’s "Two Little Nicois" in the Oven
Forget buns! Looks like Angelina’s cooking up a couple Niçois in her oven.
In case there was any doubt about the French’s affection for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s unborn twins, the mayor of Nice proclaimed them honorary citizens of his city on Friday.
“All their lives they will be Niçois and all their life they will be able to come to Nice and we will receive them with great honor,” mayor Christian Estrosi said.
Jolie checked into Nice’s Lenval hospital on Monday, where it’s expected she’ll give birth to the much anticipated new additions “within the coming weeks,” according to her doctor.
“We are very happy for this choice of Mrs. Angelina Jolie and Mr. Brad Pitt and I want to say to them that I wish a lot of joy to them and the babies, and great success for all of their lives,” the mayor said.
Pitt and the couple’s four childrenMaddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; Shiloh, 2are living in a massive chateau 60 miles away and have been seen making visits to the hospital.
J.Lo Figures Privacy Is Passé…Or Does She?

UPDATE: Despite TLC's press release suggesting otherwise, Lopez's personal publicist, Leslie Sloane, just issued the following "clarification":
"The show that Jennifer Lopez is doing for TLC is a “docuseries” that follows the creation of a mother/child fragrance launch. It is not about her family and home life with her children."_________________________
So much for Out of Sight.
Jennifer Lopez has signed on to star in a reality showor in press release vernacular, a "docuseries"on TLC that will follow the performer as she balances her roles as multihyphenate career woman, wife to Marc Anthony and mommy to twins Emme and Max.
"I am excited to be part of the TLC family," J.Lo said in a statement today. "I'm looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together."
Jenny from the Block has certainly come a long way. To think how she was raised in the absence of a camera crew…
"Jennifer is unbelievably passionate about life and will be an incredible role model for our audience," TLC President Angela Shapiro-Mathes said.
Lopez will also serve as coexecutive producer of the as-yet untitled series.
In its press materials, the Discovery Networks-owned TLC promises that the series, which is currently in preproduction, will "deliver a slice of [Lopez’s] life that audiences have never seen before, as she takes on her career and launches a new fragrance while trying to juggle her new responsibilities as a first-time mom."
No premiere date has been scheduled.
And Lopez and Anthony, who welcomed their new additions on Feb. 22 (and wouldn't even confirm they were expecting until mom looked ready to burst), are apparently not the only high-profile family types TLC has set its ambitious sights on.
During Discovery's upfront presentation today in New York, the network announced it is also developing a show with Live with Regis and Kelly cohost Kelly Ripa and her hubby, Mark Consuelos, who are both former soap stars.
"I’ve known Kelly and Mark since the first day each of them joined All My Children," Shapiro-Mathes said. "They reflect our audience, and the audience knows and loves them."
TV Press Tour '07: Weeds Is Growing!

Hello, my fellow TV addicts. WWK intern Michael Berner, aka Manna White, here to bring you the latest update on Weeds while Korbi and Jen are playing wedding crashers at Kristin’s nuptials in San Diego.
As you may remember, last season Weeds ended with almost the entire cast caught in a tight spot. The third season picks up directly where we left off and looks like it just might be the best year yet…or maybe I'm just overly excited by the preview they showed us. A good five minutes of nonstop laughter. By the way, we're getting 15 episodes this time around, a nice 90-minute bump up from last season!
Here are all the goods I got from the cast, including new additions Mary-Kate Olsen and Matthew Modine, at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour:

New Neighbors: Life in the small community of Agrestic is turned upside down when developers build a new community nearby, named Majestic. The new establishment brings in several fresh characters, including real estate magnate Sullivan Groff (Mathew Modine) and the good, Christian, girl-next-door Tara Lindman (Mary-Kate Olsen). Also, look for Carrie Fisher to pop up in an episode.
The High Life: Creator Jenji Kohan tells us this season can be summed up as “evolution of a gangster. [Nancy] will own what she does and will be comfortable in her skin with that role." She also says “this season is a return to family.” But don’t forget that kiss with Conrad in the season finale—romance is not dead on Weeds, and Nancy sleeps with several cast members this season.
Higher Power: Mary-Kate Olsen's character comes into the show, shacks up with Hunter Parrish’s character, Silas, and gets high on a little herb. But wait, isn’t she supposed to be an obedient, God-fearing young gal? Jenji says, "[Tara] is comfortable with her Christianity and her recreational drug use. We’re not necessarily poking fun at religion. We’re poking fun at the commerce of religion."
Happily Ever After: Weeds won’t end anytime soon, but when it does goes off the air, don’t expect it to end happily ever after. Jenji tells us, “Some people will be happy, others won’t. Is there ever a perfect happy ending? I don’t know…it’s a harsh life. I don’t think there will be that happy ending or tragic ending in Weeds. There’s always something in the middle.”
Little Boxes: Following in season two’s footsteps, season three features new versions of the popular theme song. Look for Randy Newman to open the season and later versions in Spanish and Russian. Also, Kinky performs a take on that little tune that's guaranteed to stay in your head for hours.

Well, my fellow Weeds fans, I can say for sure that this season is one you don’t want to miss. Tune in to Showtime Mon., Aug. 13, to check out the latest goings-on among our favorite potheads.
Also, don’t forget to check out Korbi’s Quickie for the next few weeks, as fellow intern Lindsey Osborne and I will be running the show! See you there!
Melissa Etheridge Calls Twins a ’Whole Different Ball of Wax’
Melissa Etheridge had already been raising two children, so she was no novice parent when her twins were born last October.
But the new additions, she tells PEOPLE, have turned out to be “a whole different ball of wax.”
“They have their own language, they are more content to be with each other. With twins, it’s like you’re in their life,” she says of her 11-month-old son Miller Steven and daughter Johnnie Rose.
Etheridge, 46, and partner Tammy Lynn Etheridge, 32, conceived the twins via artificial insemination, and Tammy carried the babies. Melissa also has two children from a previous relationship with Julie Cypher: daughter Bailey Jean, 10, and son Beckett, 8.
Speaking before a concert at Hard Rock Cafe New York on Tuesday – to kick off a breast cancer awareness campaign called “Rocktober” and to launch her new album The Awakening – Etheridge says that although she already had a boy and a girl, the twins made evident inherent gender differences.
“I used to think it was society but no, no, no,” she says, laughing. “You can put the same thing in front of both of (the twins) and they will do completely different things. He will see if he can break it, if he can throw it, and she is going to contemplate it, see how she can manipulate it.”
Plus, with twins, she says, “Even their relationship to each parent is different because they have a relationship with each other at first.”
Etheridge, diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, says her health now is excellent. Her head, made bald by chemotherapy, is now covered with blonde, shoulder-length hair.
“It’s an interesting experience to walk through life and have people burst into tears,” says Etheridge. “The experience of breast cancer, or cancer in general, everybody knows somebody who has had cancer, it’s always there. Everybody has that story.”
