New Kids! New Edition! New Duet!

New Kids on the Block, New Edition

In what could be the greatest collaboration since Superman and Batman formed the Justice League, the reunited New Kids on the Block have teamed up with the reunited New Edition to save the worldor at least make thirtysomething suburban moms swoon.

Donnie Wahlberg had this idea for a few months, looking for that one track for all of them,” producer Nadir “RedOne” Khawat tells People. “And I think we found it.”

The track, “Full Service,” was recorded last week and is set to appear on NKOTB’s upcoming album.

“It sounds very universal and melodic and has both sides in it: the R&B, which is New Edition, and the pop side for New Kids,” adds RedOne, calling the song “very uplifting.”

Whaddya think: Is “Full Service” going to lift up the oldsters to the top of charts or over the shark? Comment away…

Bobby: New Edition Brown Out "Best Thing for Me"

New Kids on the Block, New Edition

It remains to be seen whether New Edition and New Kids on the Block teaming up will be a super group or more of a stupor group. But whatever happens, it’s all gravy to a suddenly philosophical Bobby Brown, who now sees getting kicked out of New Edition years ago as a good thing when viewed in the rearview mirror:

“It was only them kicking me out the group that made me like, ’Yo, if I don’t succeed, I ain’t going to be [nothing] back home.’ But these Brothers did the best thing for me that could ever possibly be done. Teach me a lesson,” Brown tells Jet magazine in this week’s, um, new edition.

So far, there’s no guarantee Bobby will be part of the New/New amalgamation, but New Edition sources say they’ll definitely have a sixth mic ready. Because, y’know, it’s his prerogative.

Dark Knight Viral: New Edition of The Ha Ha Ha Times

The Dark Knight viral continues with a newly vandalized edition of The Gotham Times (errr now, The Ha Ha Ha Times or The Gotham Mimes). Unlikely Hero on SHH took the time to decode the messages formed by all the circled letters:

Page 1: Herrings are red
Page 2: Corpses are blue
Page 3: You’re on the right track
Page 4: But you don’t have the clue

But as far as I can tell, no one has found this new clue…

I don’t know why people aren’t watching The Mole

Jon KelleyIt’s only the first episode, but people seem to be avoiding ABC’s new edition of The Mole like it was on The CW or something.

The first episode of the show this past Monday at 10pm got a 1.9 rating in the important 18 to 49 demographic. It came in third place in the time slot and lost a lot of the lead-in from The Bachelorette.

I don’t understand why viewers don’t make this one of the top reality shows on television. I mean, if you love reality television, why don’t you watch this show? Is it the time slot? Is it the fact that you have to figure things out on the show yourself? I think this is actually one of the most interesting parts of the show, that it’s actually a reality show that you can actually play along with. You don’t get that with The Bachelorette or Survivor. It’s actually a reality show mixed with a mystery/spy series. It’s a TV mystery series, where viewers have to guess who the bad guy is, mixed with a reality competition series. And it has great music and great Amazing Race-like stunts and worldwide locales and is immensely entertaining. Why aren’t more people, especially people who watch reality shows, watching The Mole?
