Pete Wentz Gets a Baby Bulldog

Pete Wentz Gets a Baby Bulldog

It looks like his famous bulldog Hemingway has a new friend - Pete Wentz proudly displayed his new puppy Rigby on a Starbucks run over the weekend.

Carrying an iced venti caramel macchiato in one hand, and the new pup in the other, the Fall Out Boy bassist smiled for the paparazzi as he made his way to his car.

Always self-promoting, Pete was wearing a Clandestine Industries zip-up hoodie overtop a red t-shirt with dark grey jeans and some retro-looking hi-tops.

Of the new addition to the family, Pete recently blogged, “Meet Rigby. She’s ten weeks right now and pretty much follows Hem around.”

Stylish Stars Hit Grammy Nomination Ceremony

Stylish Stars Hit Grammy Nomination Ceremony

It looks like Taylor Swift made a new friend yesterday at the Grammy Awards Nomination Ceremony.  She and Black Eyed Pea Fergie seemed pretty up close and personal.

And they both looked fabulous.  The “My Humps” singer showed up in a black dress with a black leather coat and some crazy knee-high boots.  She’s hoping to add to her Grammy collection (she already has three!).

Meanwhile, Taylor was packing her fashion A-game with a black dress and a curled blonde coif.  Sometimes keeping it simple is the best policy.

Brittany Snow sported a silver, shimmery halter dress, with a side-parted hairstyle and a glow that only a tanning bed can provide.

After the ceremony, People magazine hosted their Grammy Kick-Off Party at LA hotspot Avalon, and stars like Lauren Conrad and Emmy Rossum got to join in the fun.

Paris Hilton Parties With a German Model

Paris Hilton Parties With a German Model

Continuing her publicity assault on Germany’s capital city, Paris Hilton took to the clubs last night.  And from the looks of it, she may have made a new friend.

The hotel heiress danced the night away at Felix nightclub in Berlin.  Fortunately, she met up with German model Julian, a pal she was first introduced to during her recent trip to China.

The pair looked pretty friendly, taking time to sit and chat several times throughout the night.  And the “Simple Life” hottie was in top form, sporting an animal print cocktail dress and exuding confidence.

Maybe Julian is an early Christmas present for Paris.  After all, Miss Hilton recently told an interviewer, “Right now I’m single but I am looking for a nice boy.  He should be funny, smart and loyal.”

We’ll keep you updated on what’s up with this could-be couple.

Earl creator worked fast food during strike

Greg GarciaHere’s a story that’s bound to bring a smile to your face (it did mine). During the protracted, agonizing Writer’s Guild strike, at least one Hollywood scribe chose not to lounge by the pool and wait it out. My Name Is Earl creator, Greg Garcia, decided to “get back in touch” with the TV viewers of America. He took a job at a fast-food restaurant, never letting on to his fellow employees — or anyone else — that he was an Emmy-winning writer/producer. As a cashier and occasional janitor, Greg spent the month of January rubbing elbows with the real world. You might wonder, why would he do it?

His answer is simple: “I’ve wanted to do a book about taking different jobs and what it was like to do them,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “This was the first. It may be a while before I do the second. But it’s just about the fact that we live behind gates and work behind gates, and as a writer you start to lose touch with the audience. You start running out of life experience.”

It was also a great experience for one of the coworkers Greg met. He gave his new friend a cashier’s check for $10,000. “It was just something I felt I wanted to do.” All in all, Greg benefited from his own private Sullivan’s Travels (a great Preston Sturges’ film from the 1940’s in which a film director experiences the real world by leaving Hollywood).

“This wound up a really positive thing,” Garcia said. “It didn’t turn me off from fast food. In fact, it was really the opposite. The place was unbelievably clean. The people whom I worked with were great. And the work itself was fun. Really. I worked hard — cashiering, cleaning the bathrooms. A few days in, they liked me so much they asked me to join their management team.”
