There’s no doubt Roger Federer had some serious star power on his side during Sunday’s Wimbledon finals.
But even with the support of “Sweet Escape” singer Gwen Stefani and her husband, Gavin Rossdale, the Swiss tennis ace still couldn’t, well, escape losing to Spain’s Rafael Nadal during the marathon match.
While Federer probably doesn’t consider his famous friends to be bad luck, we wouldn’t blame him if he secretly hopes they become too preoccupied with their soon-to-be newborn baby to attend next month’s U.S. Open.

Days after welcoming her first child into the world, Jessica Alba is receiving plenty of well wishes and compliments for her newborn baby daughter from family and friends.
“Honor Marie – that’s a cool name,” Alba’s “Love Guru” co-star Justin Timberlake told press on Monday. “I’m happy for them. It’s beautiful.”
“She’ll be a great mother,” added fellow co-star, Mike Myers. “She’s smart, she’s talented and she’s one of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever worked with.”
Meanwhile, Jessica’s brother Josh spoke briefly with Us magazine, saying: “I’m ecstatic!. I have seen her (Honor), and she is very beautiful.”
Josh, 25, added that his big sister “is doing great” and husband Cash Warren “is one of the happiest men alive right now.”

Keri Russell started off her weekend with a trip to Taste Restaurant in Los Angeles for a wine-tasting party. Despite having a newborn baby to take care off, the former Felicity star found time to make a tray of homemade pastries to share with the attendees.
Speaking of her baby, River Russell Deary, Keri recently got a little sympathy from the hosts of The View after telling them that she spent 38 hours in labor.
“It was intense…It was a long time. But it all worked out okay,” Keri said of her June 2007 pregnancy - the first for her and husband Shane Deary.
When asked by Sherri Shepard how she lost all the baby weight so quickly, Russell responded, “I would love to say I worked out every day. But it’s truly genetics. You have what you have, and then you work hard or you don’t. And I…It was genetics.”
Responding to whether or not she worked out at all, Keri said, “I didn’t – because I didn’t have a babysitter until two weeks ago. It was like walking through the park. And I have to say, breast-feeding, you burn so many calories, and I’m still doing it.”

Apparently the drug store chain Rite Aid is becoming the next celebrity hot spot. First Britney Spears put the store on the map with her countless late-night trips. And now Katherine Heigl has caught on to the trend.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress was spotted shopping at Rite Aid in Los Angeles yesterday. She picked up a few items, looking casual in a long sweater, dark trousers, and vintage-looking boots.
And one lucky Rite Aid shopper (and her newborn baby) got a little starstruck, asking the “Knocked Up” actress to pose for a pic, which Katherine gladly obliged.
Now that she’s married, Heigl has been open about the fact that she’s eager to become a mother, herself. She recently told press, “I can’t wait to have kids. I want lots and I want to start soon, hopefully within the next year or so.”
