Trackmaster Jerkins: Britney Still Brings It

After a brief music-biz timeout, Britney Spears is barging back with a vengeance, says record producer Rodney Jerkins in this exclusive video interview with News reporter Jason Kennedy. Touting the pop star’s professionalism and savvy, Jerkins says Brit can still cut a killer track in a fraction of the time it takes other artists.

And she’s no studio diva either, never demanding anything more than Starbucks or Red Bull. For more of this exclusive video, catch News Sunday evening.

Mandy Moore’s Family Tabloid Drama

Mandy Moore’s Family Tabloid Drama

Situated in the eastern Santa Monica mountain range, Griffith Park is the largest municipal park and urban wilderness area in the United States.

And on Saturday afternoon, pop singer/actress Mandy Moore found herself taking advantage of the wondrous nature stop - getting in a workout and picking up lunch at “The Trails”.

Looking cute in athletic gear and a pair of celebrity shades, Mandy seemed to be in good spirits, despite seeing her mom’s name back in the tabloids.

The National Enquirer recently revealed that Stacy Moore, Mandy’s mom, is “a newly found lesbian romantically engaged to tennis professional Claudette Laliberte.”

The tabloid alleges that “the two have been dating since 2006 and that they recently moved in together. Stacy Moore, a former news reporter who once worked for the Orlando Sentinel, indirectly confirmed the relationship.”

When asked about her lesbian affair with Laliberte, Stacy reportedly told the Enquirer: “It’s nobody’s business why we’re together.”

Dolly "Shocked" by the Shock-Jock Treatment

Howard Stern, Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton doesn't care to be just one of the pack. The Wack Pack, that is.

The iconic country star has taken major, major offense at one of the Sirius Satellite Radio-approved bits presented frequently on Howard Stern's morning show, in which his crackerjack producers mash up celebrity quotes to make it sound as if the star in question has just said something totally raunchytreatment that has been given in the past to statements made by William Shatner, Oprah, Stern show regular George Takei and others.

All of which is usually pretty funny, albeit gross.

But instead of laughing, Parton is now threatening to sue Stern for making it sound as if she liberally spewed racist and racy sentiments.

"I have never been so shocked, hurt and humiliated in all my life," the 9 to 5 star said Wednesday in a statement released by her rep. "I cannot believe what Howard Stern has done to me. In a blue million years, I would never have such vulgar things come out of my mouth. They have done editing or some sort of trickery to make this horrible, horrible thing.

"Please accept my apology for them and certainly know I had nothing to do with this. If there was ever going to be a lawsuit, it’s going to be over this. Just wanted you to know that I am completely devastated by this."

So what was it that so embarrassed and offended the sweet-natured songstress?

"I don't know if I even want to repeat it," not-easily-fazed Stern-show personality Richard Christy, one of the mix masters himself, told a Howard 100 News reporter today.

Barbara Walters had a different sort of view

Barbara WaltersBarbara Walters had an affair. The broadcast journalist and co-hostess of The View revealed on an episode of Oprah (to be broadcast this coming Tuesday) that she had an affair with Senator Edward Brooke during the 1970’s.

In 1967, Brooke was the first African-American to be popularly elected to the Senate. At the time, Walters was an up-and-coming news reporter. In the interview, Walters described the Massachusetts senator as “exciting” and “brilliant”. Winfrey asked Walters if she was in love, to which she replied that she was certainly “infatuated”.

Mind you, Barbara has been married three times and Brooke was divorced and remarried, so neither were sweet and innocent when it came to relationships. She only plays a sweet and innocent woman on television.

The biggest question on my mind is: if Barbara Walters was going to drop this sort of bombshell in public, why didn’t she do it on her own show (you know, the one she co-created) in order to boost ratings? I guess Oprah was a better venue to sell her new book.
