Audrina Patridge Visits Regis & Kelly

Audrina Patridge Visits Regis & Kelly

Ever since the unauthorized release of her nude photos onto the Internet, Audrina Patridge has been under the entertainment media’s spotlight as new details keep emerging about the photo shoot.

In an attempt to tell her side of the story, Audrina has been scheduling appearances on the entertainment news show circuit, which she kicked off with an appearance on the Ryan Seacrest show. Audrina took the opportunity to defend her actions and thank all of her friends, family, and co-stars that had publicly supported her.

It appears that Audrina is trying to take advantage of this new found attention to help promote her career, as there have been several paparazzi sightings of her at popular Hollywood hotspots such as the STK and this morning at Live with Regis and Kelly.

With the recent premiere of the 3rd season on The Hills, it looks as if Audrina may be looking to give her co-stars Heidi Montag and LC a little competition in the tabloids - as she continues to set tongues wagging with her recent live lingerie performance with The Pussycat Dolls.

More Scoop on the 90210 Spinoff…

Beverly Hills 90210, Rob Thomas

Fellow 9-0 fans, just wanted to let you know that our friend Rob Thomas has finished the first draft of the pilot for the Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff, and I’m happy to report that he’s made a young BH High student by the name of Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez the host of the school's Blaze news show. How great is that?! Unfortunately, Miss Hannah only graces one quick scene with her presence, but we have our fingers crossed for more appearances to come…and perhaps a cameo by her accomplished parents, Andrea and Jesse?

And speaking of roles for a few of our old West Bev friends, word is Mr. Thomas has his heart set on Jennie Garth reprising her role as Kelly Taylor, who would now be a fashion design teacher at BHHS. With Jennie signed on to shoot a CBS pilot this season, we’re not sure if that idea will make the final cut, but we certainly hope so.

Need more? Rumor has it that some of the series regulars will TP the Spelling mansion in that first ep as an homage to the original show. They’re also rocking a party at the Beverly Hills Hotel—why it’s not at the Bel Age, I don’t know—and making reservations at the Peach Pit, which has clearly become much higher class. I mean, reservations? Really?!

A Baby Girl for Jon Stewart

A Baby Girl for Jon Stewart | Jon Stewart Daily Show host Jon Stewart and his wife, Tracey welcomed a healthy baby girl, their second child, over the weekend, Comedy Central announced in a posting on the network’s Web site.

“Mom, dad, baby and big brother are all doing great,” the site says. Stewart, 43, and Tracey, a 38-year-old veterinary technician, had their first child, Nathan Thomas, in July 2004.

As for their new daughter, “Maggie Rose Stewart was born on Saturday afternoon in Manhattan and she was 6 lbs., 9 oz.,” Stewart’s spokesman, Matt Labov, tells PEOPLE.

Stewart took Monday night off from his satiric news show but was expected back at his desk Tuesday, according to the posting on Comedy Central.

Last October, while appearing on David Letterman’s Late Show, Stewart expressed some reservations about parenting a daughter. “I don’t know that much about women,” said Stewart. “A boy child, I feel like I’ll know how to deal with it if he has a problem. I’ll just be able to say to him, ’Well, repress it,’ and he will hopefully swallow that, as I have. And then you figure you have 30 years before it comes out over dinner where somebody spills the gravy and then you’re like ’I hate you!’

“A girl, she’s going to want me to have tea with her and her panda. Like, what am I going to do with that?” he added.

Whether or not Stewart wants to join in, the little girl will have plenty of room for tea parties: Last year, the TV star – who is hosting the Oscars next month – paid $5.8 million for a 6,000 sq. ft. loft in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood for his family and their two pets.

The Wire’s Tristan Wilds lands 90210 role

Tristan WildsIt’s a step up from Baltimore. Tristan Wilds, who played Michael on The Wire, is playing the male lead in the 90210 spinoff. Wilds will take on the role of Dixon, the adopted son of the Harry and Celia Mills. The Mills family is shaping up to be much more entertaining than the Walshes. Jessica Walter and Lori Loughlin have already been cast as the grandmother and mother, respectively. I can’t wait to see Michael having family dinner with Lucille Bluth and Becky from Full House.

In other 90210 casting news, Michael Steger is playing Navid, producer of the West Beverly High’s TV news show. I’m not familiar with Steger, but I’m thrilled that Wilds is returning to TV.

The Mills family is almost complete. I’m eager for the role of Harry Mills to be cast. The actor will have to hold his own with Jessica Walter, and that’s no easy task. While I’m not part of the spinoff’s target audience, I’ll be watching the first few episodes out of support for Walter and Wilds.
