Miley Wants Her Ex "to Be Upset"

Miley Cyrus

While Miley Cyrus has remained mum on the specifics of her love life, she does admit that her new song, “7 Things,” is indeed about an ex of hers.

And while she hopes the former b-f is affected by the tune”I want them to be upset [when they hear the song]. That was my point,” she tells Ryan Seacrestshe leaves the identity of the culprit to our imagination.

Of course, that doesn’t stop Ryan from trying to pry the answer from her…

“Have you heard from anybody that might have been the impetus to writing these lyrics, maybe a Nick Jonas?” asks the KIIS-FM morning man.

“Stop!” giggles Miley, before adding that her mystery man might come forward after the video is released, “because it’s pretty honest. The video’s even more honest than my song.”

There is at least one person we can count off the list. Multitalented Miley finally states on the record that, despite rumors, she is not dating her 22-year-old backup dancer. “He’s one of my really, really good friends.”

Well, whoever her secret former lover is, maybe he’ll be stoked to know he influenced the song lyrics written by one of the most famous people in America!

Disney Rolls to Rock Sequel

Jonas Brothers, Camp Rock

Camp Rock, well, rocked. And now Disney is ready to roll on a sequel.

Just days after the Jonas Brothers-starring TV movie debuted on the kid-friendly cable net, Disney has gone to work crafting a follow-up for the camera-friendly musical trio.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, production on the second small-screen installment will kick off in late spring or summer of 2009 with all three tween heartthrobsJoe, Kevin and Nick Jonasset to return.

The TV movie, made in the same mold as the High School Musicals, averaged 8.9 million viewers Friday night, besting the ratings received by the original HSM to become the most-watched nonsequel film the channel’s ever aired. (The unqualified title holder is HSM 2, which pulled in 17.2 million viewers in its first airing.)

Better start looking over your shoulder, Troy boy.

Burning Q’s: Jonas Bro Theft & Way Broke Stars

Jonas Brothers

Did Selena Gomez steal Nick Jonas from Miley Cyrus?J.D.

Selena Gomez? The baby-faced 15-year-old? Oh, come on. How can a zygote steal a fetus from an embryo? Honestly, people. I step out for three seconds and the quality of your questions just plummets. Plummets! Let’s dispose of them quickly and neatly in a new round of Burning Q’s.

Why are there so many reports of broke celebrities? A lot of them earned millions during their careerswhere did all of this money go?M.M., Colorado

Actually, once A-listers pay off their “teams”agents, managers, business managers, attorneysand taxes, they’re left with only 10 to 15 percent of their paychecks, one manager tells me.

So if a movie star gets $15 million a film, that’s $1.5 million left over. You and I could live quite well on that. That is, unless you’re a twit who needsjust needsa compound in the Malibu Colony, a pied-à-terre in London and a place in the Bahamas. (Malibu Colony homes, popular with the Paris Hilton crowd, go for about $18.5 million, unless you rent.)

Don’t forget the household staff, which stars also feel they just need, need, need: assistants, nannies, security, trainer, nutritionist, butler. Throw in the flying monkeys at the high-powered publicity firm, which can set a star back maybe $55,000 a year. And then add a few shady so-called friends from back in the day who come strolling by with their hands out, andstarting to get the picture?

What is going on with R. Kelly? What is taking so long with this sex-tape case?Ann, Osceola, Kansas

Actually, despite what it may look like, this is not an episode of Law & Order: SVU. This is a real case, which means it takes time. The 2005 Michael Jackson child-molestation case took three and a half months. (He was acquitted.) Jury selection for this trial just started in May.

Hey! Am I hearing things, or did I read that that Gwyneth Paltrow works out for 40 hours a day?Alphea

Yes, absolutely. Forty hours a day. Because once you hit a certain level of stardom, the dweebs at the National Institute of Standards and Technology reach into a secret compartment, created by ancient astronauts and nestled deep within the atomic clock, and give you more hours. The rest of us drones have to get by with just 24 in a day. I hear Clooney gets like 1,500.

Jonas Brothers’ Future Looks Bright

Jonas Brothers’ Future Looks Bright

When you’re an up-and-coming band, the best way to get exposure is with the help of an established, successful artist.  And that’s just what the Jonas Brothers have done.

The “Hold On” rockers have enjoyed the benefits of being on the sold out “Best of Both Worlds” tour with Hannah Montana actress Miley Cyrus.  Guitarist Nick Jonas even described the experience as “living the dream.”

And these guys have all the right answers up their collective sleeve, citing Johnny Cash, Prince, Stevie Wonder, the Animals, the Rascals, the Steve Miller Band, and the Beatles as their primary influences.

Touring aside, these boys are all about expanding their already momentous franchise, with an original Disney Channel flick “Camp Rock” set to air this summer, and a television series called “J.O.N.A.S.” slotted for the fall season.

You could say that Kevin, Joe, and Nick have hit the jackpot, and you’d be correct.
