Mýa Hurts Foot, Misses Chance to Break a Leg
Chicago isn't Mýa's kind of town just yet.
The Grammy-winning R&B songstress had been scheduled to make her Broadway debut May 12, playing husband-offer Velma Kelly in the Bob Fosse production, but a broken left foot has forced her to lay her fishnets aside for the time being.
Mýa's run was set to last for nine weeks, but it's unclear when she'll end up joining the show. There's no word on who might take the stage in her absence.
"We are sometimes forced to deal with circumstances beyond our control," producer Barry Weissler said in a statement. "But speaking for the entire Chicago creative team, we all wish her a speedy recovery, and look forward to experiencing her portrayal of Velma Kelly as soon as possible."
The "Ghetto Supastar" harmonizer isn't completely new to the Chicago cellblock, howevershe already sharpened her claws playing merry murderess Mona in Rob Marshall's 2003 Oscar-winning feature adaptation.

Kyle MacLachlan Ponders Names for Unborn Son
By the end of July, Desperate Housewives hunk Kyle MacLachlan will have a mini-me – but the little one’s name is still up for discussion.
The dad-to-be and his wife, Project Runway producer Desiree Gruber, are currently playing the name game … aggressively. “It won’t be Kyle Jr.,” MacLachlan told Friends at Hamptons Magazine’s 30th anniversary party on Saturday. “We’ve got a list of names we’re trying out. One of my ideas was Jethro – but she nixed that right way!”
Sound too much like a Beverly Hillbilly? “I guess so,” the former Sex and the City star admitted at the bash in Southampton. “But I’m a big fan of [the band] Jethro Tull.”
Gruber – who is due at the end of July, when Housewives resumes filming – said she plans to give birth in L.A.
“Only nine weeks left!” she said, showing off her prominent bump. “He’s so excited about being a daddy. He’s jumping around.”
MacLachlan certainly seemed amped for impending fatherhood. “It’s one of those crazy things,” he said. “I’m having the best time watching her body change. I’m paying attention to little kids now.”
This will be MacLachlan’s first child – but he’s had lots of practice playing Uncle Kyle. “[Desiree’s] brother has six kids and mine has three,” he added. “I’ve had plenty of preparation!”
