Paris Hilton’s Charitable Deed
Paris Hilton’s Charitable Deed
This girl is so busy that she doesn’t have time to lay out in the sun to get a tan. No worries, because Paris Hilton has the next best thing - a spray tan.
The “Hottie and the Nottie” actress was spotted yesterday in Beverly Hills looking obviously freshly spray-tanned, hauling around a bag of Chinese food from Chin Chin as well as a beverage and of course her BlackBerry.
In addition to her various careers and boyfriend Benji Madden, it seems Paris has been spending some time getting charitable with the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, making an “extremely generous” donation toward the construction of a new 460,000 square-foot medical tower.
Hilton told press, “I am so happy and fortunate to announce my support for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. The children I have met through my [involvement] at Childrens Hospital have truly touched my heart.”
“The fabulous new hospital facilities at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles will provide a caring, healing environment for children and their families for many years to come and I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses.”
Paris’ donation will go towards tricking out a double patient room in the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases.
Big Brother 9: Live feeds special report - final three
I’m sure you’ve heard about the live eviction planned for tonight’s Big Brother 9 episode. Well, it’s not so live. The power of veto? Long ago in the past! The power of veto meeting was held today and the first part of the three part final head of household competition took place.
Oh, my. One of the hamsters have gone missing. There are spoilers in the gallery below and, if you read on past the jump there will be severe spoilers for tonight’s show. You’ve been warned.
As I write this report, the feeds were blocked for most of the time since my last report. No worries, though. I’ve got the news for you! Just before the feeds block, Adam was working on Ryan to save Sheila, not Sharon. He has two-fold reasons to be pushing that agenda. First, I think he does want to maintain his loyalty to her. But, more importantly — the guys stand a better chance of winning HOH against her.
Sharon in comps is relatively an unknown. She’s thrown many of them and the guys just aren’t sure if the floater will suddenly come to life and win something. In an earlier feeds block, apparently the comp (first part) was explained to them. It’s an endurance comp and it’s cold out. Adam thinks that Sharon might be able to hang in, but Sheila will surely be out first.
Thus, an agreement was made. Adam and Ryan shook hands and all. Ryan wouldn’t use the POV and the nominations of Sheila and Sharon would stand. Adam would vote out Sharon. Then, in the first part of the HOH comp, Sheila (the weakest) would fall out first, probably not on purpose. Then, after Sheila’s out of it, Adam would throw the comp to Ryan.
And, now several hours of blocked feeds later, that’s exactly how it went down. Sharon is evicted. The final three are Ryan, Adam, and Sheila. Ryan has won the first part of the final HOH competition. Sheila and Adam go up against each other today in the second part.
I’ll be the fly on the wall gathering the news.
Big Brother 9: Live feeds report - April 19
The hardest part of writing up these Big Brother 9 live feeds reports is what you see me doing right now. I can’t write spoilers here on the part which shows on the main page of TV. Nor can I just have a whole bunch of white space here. I’ve tried dancing and singing, but we probably don’t need to frighten people. But it’s bad when even Sharon rolls her eyes thinking what I might be doing here. It’s always a challenge!
What? You want me to stop rambling and give you the goods on the spoilers? Read on past the jump!
Gee, there hasn’t been a heck of a lot of new news today. Tomorrow is the power of veto meeting, so we’ll surely see some action then. Oh, we’re blocked from seeing the actual meeting, but the aftermath is always entertaining. As it stands now, Ryan has nominated Sheila and Sharon for eviction. Ryan has also won the power of veto. He’s been trying to convince Adam that he must vote out Sheila this week.
How’s he doing that? Well, he told Adam that if he wins HOH and POV, he won’t take Adam to the final two. Adam is a sucker for tears and tends to follow his heart. Despite their fighting, he does have a soft spot for Sheila. He wants to vote to evict Sharon. But he went and promised Ryan on his mother’s life that he’ll do his bidding and vote out Sheila. Hmmm … not sure if he can do that. Sheila would be crushed and he’d be crushed to have crushed Sheila if you can follow that.
On the other hand, Sharon really wants Adam out. She wants a final three of Sheila, Ryan, and herself. She wants to be up with Ryan in the final two. Ryan told her he wants the final three to be himself, her (Sharon), and Adam. She’s really not too flexible.
In house crumbs:
- After the POV comp last night, Sheila and Adam were unshackled. The shackles of love weren’t permanently binding.
- Adam will be 30 years old on April 30. He said birthdays disappoint him, so he’s not all that into it.
- Ryan told Sharon she had no worries, he’ll probably keep the nominations the same. He said Adam will do what he wants, which is to keep her.
- Sheila and Adam wonder how they’re being portrayed. It might be best that they not know, right?
- Sheila told Adam that Sharon is acting snotty, quiet, and weird to her now.
- She also said that she has to put her trust in Adam and Ryan. She doesn’t think Ryan will change the noms. So it’s up to her boys.
- Once again she told Adam she wants the final two to be them.
- Sheila told Adam that she knows Sharon won’t want him to stay, that she wants to go to the final two with Ryan.
- Sheila, still talking (of course), told Adam that Sharon is so sure of winning that she’s already planning how to spend the money — some for her parents, 50 grand to the church she says saved her life, and such. Sheila said she herself won’t plan how to spend the money because it will be a letdown if she doesn’t win it.
- They have all discussed what they would do with the winnings. I’ve heard them. Yeah, Sheila, too!
- Why doesn’t Sheila ever stop rambling on?
- She also told Adam she doesn’t think it would do any good to campaign to Ryan.
- Adam told her he doesn’t want to make promises he can’t keep to either her or Ryan.
- But, what about his promise to Ryan? He’ll really vote to evict Sheila? That’s going to be rough!
- Sheila got upset. I think she thinks Adam was a sure vote to keep her and he’s not committing to anything with her. She told him that he’ll see she has had his back throughout the game when he sees the tapes.
- Ryan and Adam compared what they each heard from the girls.
- Adam told Ryan it’s probably better to get Sheila out this week so she can cool off in sequester. He said he has no problem voting her out.
- Adam seems to be trying to convince himself that Sheila must go. After all, according to him, her behavior on the first day was a call for eviction.
- Right now the feeds are ultra-boring. Adam is asleep on the couch. Sheila was on a cleaning spree earlier, big yellow gloves and all. I haven’t seen Ryan since dinner. Sharon’s napping.
- Unless things change drastically, the nominations should remain the same and it’s likely to be a final three of Adam, Sharon, and Ryan going in for the three part HOH comp.
Hey, you’re still with me to go to the final two, right?
Big Brother 9: Live feeds report - April 10
So, there have been a few happenings in the Big Brother 9 house since last night’s live eviction. For one thing, the Glass Houses Head of Household endurance competition ended. We have a new HOH reigning supreme. Wait, this is the BB9 crowd. No one in that house could be described as “supreme.”
But it is what it is and it’s just a matter of time before we have the summer hamsters in the house. I beg right now … no gimmicks, no couples, some diversity in ages and races in casting, please!
Read on past the jump for show spoilers.
Sheila, the new HOH, was immediately besieged by Natalie. She (Sheila) had promised Ryan she wouldn’t put him on the block and said that she would put Adam and Sharon up. Natalie is freaking because if one of them (Sharon or Adam) win the power of veto, she might go on the block and could very well head home. Sheila advised her to win the power of veto if she was that worried because she won’t put Ryan on the block. Heh, I love it!
Ryan is still double-dealing. He’s told Adam that he has no worries and told Sharon he has her back. I think he might throw the veto comp because he’s made promises to both Sharon and Adam. Sheila herself might have a trick or two up her sleeve. She told both Adam and Sharon she’d be nominating them, but if anyone other than Natalie wins and uses the veto, the plan is to put Natalie on the block and backdoor her. It looks like Natalie should be worried, eh?
Sheila’s HOH room could have been predicted. She received photos of her son and her sister, as well as a copy of her big Penthouse issue. She had Ryan read her letter from home and, as expected, she cried. She misses her son so much. She’s a single mom, y’know.
In house crumbs:
- Adam is very worried. If the nominations remain the same, he’s sure he’ll be voted out. There will be two people voting this week, so it’s up to Sheila to break a tie.
- Sheila went on a cleaning streak in the kitchen trying to get rid of anything attracting ants.
- Sheila admitted to Adam that she “kinda” made a deal with Natalie not to put her up.
- Natalie would like to buy five acres of land for unwanted animals to live out their lives.
- The ghost of James lives on — everyone is talking about what a big threat Natalie is and how she must be evicted.
- Sheila told Ryan whatever happens, remove Adam. Don’t ask me. She had been telling Ryan how Natalie is her biggest threat in the game. She must be assuming Natalie will vote to keep Sharon and she wants a tie. I don’t know.
- Ryan promised Sheila that if he wins POV he’ll save a nominee so she can put Natalie on the block.
- That’s three POV promises Ryan has made. He’s going to SO throw this comp, I think!
- Sheila wants the final three to be herself, Ryan, and Adam.
- Sheila can stop calling Ryan “rye bread.” Please!
- If Natalie wins the veto and the noms remain the same, Sharon will be the target for eviction, not Adam.
- Natalie told Sharon that she dropped from her glass house so she could compete in the next HOH.
Nominations are tonight, but haven’t happened at this time. I fully expect Sharon and Adam to be on the block because Sheila has even told them they will be nominated. Nonetheless, once the official word is in, I’ll update this post.
UPDATE: It’s official. Sheila nominated Adam and Sharon.
