Kate Beckinsale: Doing Well After Hospital Visit

Kate Beckinsale: Doing Well After Hospital Visit

Coming off of a recent trip to a Memphis-area hospital, actress Kate Beckinsale looked full of good spirit as she ventured about Beverly Hills on Tuesday (November 20).

According to recent reports from Access Hollywood, the Underworld actress went to the hospital after “experiencing numbness in her left arm and left leg.”

Admitted and released a short time thereafter, a source told press that “doctors treated Beckinsale and determined the problem was due to exhaustion and that she hadn’t been compliant with her regular medication.”

Beckinsale has been stationed in Memphis to film the drama “Nothing But The Truth,” alongside Matt Dillon and David Schwimmer, but has made her way home to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with her family.

Has Tekken Found Its Cast?

Tekken Jin

Next up on the ‘game to movie’ adaptations is Tekken. The fighting game that first appeared in arcades in 1994, and then on Playstation’s in 1995. The success of the first game spawned 5 sequels, with a sixth in development. I have fond memories of playing the original, and just doing the same move over and over again until I got a K.O. and heard ‘Yoshimitsu…Wins!’. Unfortunately, that was the last Tekken game I played as I jumped ship to Nintendo for a couple of years. Anyway, we’ve had the teaser poster, all we needed now is a cast, and we may have that now. IESB have got the scoop.

IESB reader BOZZ, sent over some info from Production Charts dated January 10th. Details of the production including a synopsis and cast are listed. Remember, this is all rumored information until confirmed. Could be a load of horseshit. Here’s the rundown…

TEKKEN

STATUS - February 5
LOCATION - Shreveport, Louisiana (6 weeks)
PRODUCER: Steven Paul - Benedict Carver - Tetsu Fujimura - Masaya Nakamura
DIRECTOR: Dwight Little
LP: Lampton Enochs
WRITER: Alan McElroy
CAST: Jon Foo - Sienna Guillory - Susie Amy - Andy Serkis - Chiaki Kuriyama - Nathan Jones - Takeshi Kaneshiro.

Based on the bestselling Japanese vidgame from Namco. In order to put to rest the ghosts of his past, Jin Kazama enters the Tekken tournament, a fierce and dangerous competition featuring the world’s best martial artists. Following close behind him is Lucas, an aging fight master looking to save Jin from his own inner demons. While on the surface Tekken appears to be the corporation of the future, Jin and Lucas expose a dark underbelly that could threaten the very threads of humanity.

This is not 100% confirmed so don’t take this as the truth and nothing but the truth. If it is true however, it looks like a great cast. There is word that the film will begin filming in February, but I would take that with a pinch of salt. What we do know however, is that the film will be directed by Dwight H. Little. Dwight is known for directing the epic sci-fi action thriller Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home, and more recently, a couple of Prison Break episodes.

Lets not judge too quickly people.

Britney Spears Ex-Bodyguard Stirs the Pot

Britney Spears Ex-Bodyguard Stirs the Pot

Fresh off losing custody of her two sons to ex Kevin Federline, Britney Spears was dealt one more blow, as she will be facing yet another child abuse investigation by social services.

The reason for the new probe is the result of an official complaint filed by her former bodyguard, Tony Barretto.

It’s reported that Barretto, who was fired for “not picking up Britney’s hat,” met with U.S. Child Protective Services on Wednesday. There he’s alleged to have given “detailed accounts of Spears’ alleged drug abuse and nudity around her young sons.”

After the meeting, Barretto’s attorney, Gloria Allred, told press, “We have filed a child abuse referral. All we ask of Britney is to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. She can tell her side of the story.”

We don’t know much about Barretto, but somehow it seems hard to believe that this is all in the best interest of the children. Nonetheless, count on the to keep you up on the latest developments in the former bodyguard’s complaint against Britney.
