Grey's Fans, You Ready for a McThorny Affair?

Lauren Stamile, Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo

So, now you've seen her.

The new "potential love interest" for Patrick Dempsey on Grey's Anatomy is Miss Lauren Stamile, who plays the nurse that was "invisible" to our beloved Dr. McDreamy until last night's episode.

Is it just me, or does this all reek of the introduction of Paolo and Nikki on Lost? You know, that silent, unseen character that—poof!—all of a sudden comes front and center in the main plot? (At least her first line wasn't about the functionality of a toilet. Not to mention, Stamile is really likable.)

Clearly, given the way Paolo and Nikki were received, this sort of already-there introduction can be irksome to the fans. But you have to hand it to Grey's writers, because they found a pretty genius way to make you feel instantly sympathetic to Meredith and Derek's potential third wheel. See, Rose, just like our beloved Bailey (who got walked on all over again by her high school sweetheart Marcus, played by D.B. Woodside, last night), turns out to be a sweet, unassuming girl who has been imperceptible to Dr. McDreamy. She's shared dozens of surgeries with him, but he didn't really notice her until last night.

Surely, many a female viewer can relate (after all, we see Dempsey every week and he doesn't see us back…the nerve!), but my question to you is this: Is it enough to make you like Rose? Do you like having her in the mix? Or do you wish Meredith and Derek could be left alone and live happily (boringly?) ever after in La-La Land?

Do tell. 'Cause—mild spoiler alert—I've heard the plan is to keep Rose (Stamile) around for a good long while this season, and move the Derek and Rose flirtation forward into something of a McThorny affair.

But who knows? With the unfortunate break caused by the writers' strike (we only get three more Grey's episodes—sigh), the scribes and producers just might have some time on their hands to listen to fan opinion before putting pen to paper when the strike comes to an end.

So, vote in the poll, or take a minute to post your feelings on Rose in the Comments section below!

Amy Winehouse Visits Blake, Gets Upset

Amy Winehouse Visits Blake, Gets Upset

It was a busy Wednesday for Amy Winehouse, as the rehabbing singer ventured out of the Capio Nightingale Hospital to pay a visit to her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder Civil.

After stopping by London’s Pentonville prison, Amy then ventured off to a London news agents to get a packet of McCoys crisps and a newspaper.

From there, the Grammy nominated singer was spotted going to a restaurant in London, roaring in distress as she was grabbed by her 24-hour security and nurse.

Meanwhile, recent Associated Press reports tell that “police in London have questioned Amy about a video that surfaced online two weeks ago that purportedly shows the Grammy-nominated singer smoking crack cocaine.”

At this time, no charges have been filed against the singer, but an investigation into the video is said to be ongoing.

Jennifer Aniston Tries Out Director’s Chair

Jennifer Aniston Tries Out Director’s Chair

She’s certainly easy on the eyes whenever she appears on the big (or little) screen.  But Jennifer Aniston is trying her eye at directing, trading time in front of the camera for a new perspective behind the scenes.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the Friends star will be debuting her short film at a festival in California a few weeks from now.  Her project “Room 10″ sounds like it just may have some serious promise, too.

She managed to get Robin Wright Penn and Kris Kristofferson to star in the romantic drama, which will open at the 2007 Palm Springs Festival of Short Films beginning August 23rd.

According to the Hollywood reporter, “Room 10 is set in the emergency room of a hospital, and focuses on the true story of a nurse who discovers deeper meaning in her life after treating a dying patient.”

After it premieres, we’ll be sure to bring you the news on how Jen’s “Room 10″ fares. In the meantime,

Busted - You Said No Video and Lyrics

You Said No by Busted, Music Video , Lyrics and Review

“You Said No” is a single by UK pop band, Busted released in 2003. It’s about the boys being rejected at a disco by a girl they really have a crush on, but she just laughs. The video suggests that they get back together with someone better though, an attractive nurse.

On Busted’s self-titled album from which the song is taken, is titled “Crash and Burn”. The name was changed for its single release in the aftermath of the Columbia Shuttle disaster.

They write there own songs, play there own instruments and if thats not enough, then what is ? Overall I like this track and recommend it to anyone. Enjoy !

Busted are hanging out at a bike rally, trying to impress some girls by doing stunts. When the video first started to be shown on tv, the name shown at the beginning for James Bourne was written as ‘James Harris’. This was a private joke and was later on changed.

Released 21 April 2003

Busted - You Said No Lyrics

Your so fit and you know it
and i only dream of you
cos my lifes such a bitch
but you can change it

Maybe you need somebody just like me
dont turn me down cos i got no car and i got no money

I asked you to dance at the disco
but you said no
the whole world was watching and laughing
on the day that i crashed and burned at your feet

Since the day that you ditched me
Im feeling so pathetic
cos the guys wanna ditch me
and its all because of..

You and your friends are laughing at me now
If you think that im nothing ask your sister what your missing

I asked you to dance at the disco
but you said no
the whole world was watching and laughing
on the day that i crashed and burned at your feet

Maybe you think that your to good for me
tonight when you get home your gonna see
I no…ive got…something better than you baby

Na na na na

I asked you to dance at the disco
but you said no
the whole world was watching and laughing
on the day that i
I asked you to dance at the disco
but you said no
the whole world was watching and laughing
on the day that i crashed and burned at your feet

Here is a nice review by a fan from amazon.com

It has an ideal combination of bubble gum pop and hardcore rock making it appealing to all young music fans, especially the ones of the female persuasion as the boys are fairly easy on the eye….
The song beautifully and accurately tells the familiar tale of being blown off, and the teenage pain the we have all felt so many times. It’s catchy, amusing, and almost frightening familiar… It’s got to be no. 1
