After a hectic promotional run which saw her latest film open in theaters on Friday, Natalie Portman took a break from the hustle-bustle by going for a stroll around Greenwich Village on Saturday (March 1).
Accompanied by a new male pal, Portman braved the chilly weather by bundling up in a heavy grey coat with a matching scarf, along with black gloves and boots.
As for her new movie, preliminary box office estimates report that The Other Boleyn Girl opened in third place, making $2.8 million.
The period drama, which co-stars Scarlett Johansson, is the story of “Two sisters contending for the affection of King Henry VIII.”

Wearing a fur jacket as she battled the chilly NYC weather, Scarlett Johansson continued working on her directorial debut short “New York, I Love You” on Tuesday (March 11).
The 23-year-old blonde babe jumped behind the camera on the Coney Island, Brooklyn set, taking a break in between for a short race with a few set worker friends.
As previously reported by , “New York, I Love You is an anthology film illustrating the universal theme of encountering love within the five boroughs of New York City.”
Other directors participating in the “New York, I Love You” project include Zach Braff, Mira Nair, Allen Hughes, Albert Hughes, Brett Ratner and Fatih Akin.

You gotta hand it to Jennifer Garner. She may be wrapped up in her Broadway gig “Cyrano de Bergrac,” but she still makes time to take her daughter Violet Affleck out to play in Central Park.
Yesterday, the happy mother and daughter were spotted looking playful, and bundled up to cope with the chilly NYC winter weather. Violet sported a grey and pink tweed coat by Cacharel, a pair of jeans, and some rose/red plum Ecco kids Glow shoes.
When it got extra cold, she pulled up her green and white striped hood to keep her head warm. Oh, and don’t forget the adorable beret she wore in her hair.
Violet has been stealing the show from her celebrity baby peers as of late, and was voted the cutest celebrity baby in a poll done by Parade magazine. She beat out the likes of Suri Cruise, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, and Dannielynn Smith in the competition.

Keeping her 2-year-old daughter bundled up for the brisk NYC winter weather, Jennifer Garner took time out of her busy schedule to take Violet to church on Tuesday.
The two chic young ladies, accompanied by a fellow female friend, were spotted at Rutgers Presbyterian Church on New York City’s Upper East Side. The trip to church was followed up by a stop at a Barnes and Noble store across town.
As of late, Jen has been in between performing her Broadway show, Cyrano De Bergerac, along with promoting her upcoming film, Juno - a movie that focuses on a teenage girl getting pregnant.
At Monday’s Los Angeles premiere of the new movie, Garner told press why she decided that the role was right for her.
“Diablo [Cody]’s writing — everything about it, the way she constructed characters and that all the characters were so full and of course the kind of snappy dialogue and the story. I love the heart in the story,” tells Jen.
“Juno” hits theaters on January 31, 2008.
