Matthew McConaughey: It’s a Boy!
Matthew McConaughey is a proud new pop. (Although someone should probably tell him that all new babies arrive sans shirt.)
The ab-fab actor and his girlfriend, Brazilian model Camila Alves, welcomed a 7-pound, 4-ounce boy, their first child together, Monday evening, News confirms.
The youngster was born at 6:44 p.m., according to McConaughey’s rep.
But while this may cut into the Texan’s time for sojourns to Nicaragua and lazy days on the beach with Lance, the Sahara star sounds more than ready to embrace daddyhood.
“A healthy baby boy was born,” McConaughey said tonight in a statement to OK! magazine.
“Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the worldhaving a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventureraising one, together.”
McConaughey first spread the good news of Alva’s expectant status on his reggae-playing website.
“My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together,” McConaughey blogged in January.
“It’s 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far. We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being mother and a father, and shepherding him or her through this life.”
McConaughey’s mother added her own rapturous comments to the site a few days later: “Just when I think life cannot get any ’SWEETER,’ Matthew and Camila fill life with more…so here I am DRINKING FROM MY SAUCER, BECAUSE MY CUP IS INDEED OVERFLOWING WITH THIS NEW BABY,” she wrote.
The child’s name has not yet been released.

Fresh off of breaking up with her boyfriend Ryan Adams, Mandy Moore was spotted out for a shopping session at Jeffrey and Scoop in The Meat Packing District of New York City on Thursday (July 3).
Sporting some serious tan lines, the “A Walk to Remember” actress picked up a few items before toting her purchases along as she made her way to Pastis for a solo lunch.
According to a source on the scene, Mandy was asked if she was doing some “retail therapy” post break-up, to which “she just giggled, then wished the photographer a Happy 4th of July.”
As for the decision to call it quits, OK! magazine got a statement from Adams through his rep, which read: “Mandy is one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life. I am grateful for our friendship and how it allowed us both to grow and learn more.”
Blaming the split on the media attention (and his dislike for it), Adams continued: “Unfortunately I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter, staying close to my support group of friends and band mates and not engaging in activities that prevent me from taking care of myself or others. I found the entire speculation and subsequent photographs and intrusions terrifying and only wish to live as normal a life as possible, so that I might always remain punk as f*** AND sober.”
Turtle and E spill the beans about Entourage

Well, new shows aren’t coming back until September (thanks to the writers’ strike), but HBO is giving fans a chance to enjoy the most recent shows starting tomorrow, July 4th. Every Friday at 10 p.m. (ET) on, HBO will replay season 3: part 2, and season 4.
That’s good to know — especially in these dog days of summer TV — but if you want to know what’s going to happen next, read on. Both Jerry Ferarra and Kevin Connolly, Turtle and E, got a little chatty with OK! magazine’s Oliver Coleman.

Jerry was very enthusiastic about Entourage’s new season, so much so that he spilled the beans about some crucial plot points. For starters, Vince’s big film project, the biography of Colombian drug czar Medellin — the one in which he invested his own money — is not the blockbuster hit the guys were counting on. In fact, as Ferarra said, “The movie…was kind of a bomb at the Cannes Film Festival and it pretty much picks up this year with the aftermath of that.”
How bad does it get for Vince and Johnny and Turtle and Eric? Really bad. “The guys are very much in trouble financially, it’s not like the old Entourage where they had everything at their finger tips. I mean they do still have their normal connections, but it’s a little bit of a struggle.” Turtle actually has to go out and get a job, which knowing Turtle, that could be dealing weed. Does Weeds’ Nancy Botwin need a distributor?
After OK! got Jerry to blab, the reporter was intrepid and caught up with Kevin Connolly who figured that since the cat was out of the bag, so to speak, he’d give away a few more plot lines from Entourage’s upcoming shows. Even as he acknowledged that he was probably going to tick off the folks at HBO, KC revealed, “The film doesn’t do well and [Vince’s] career is at a low, and in the immortal words of Ari Gold, he’s in ’movie jail. So it’s all about getting his career back on track.”
I love it, movie jail. Could this mean that Vinny will have to deign to do — dare I say it — a TV series? Wouldn’t that be terrific, Vincent Chase on a CSI-type forensics show, CSI: Seattle? Or maybe he could become the next McHotty on a Grey’s Anatomy-like medical drama?

With Jennifer Aniston consuming the shutterbugs’ attention, Reese Witherspoon tried her best in a failed attempt to make her way through LAX Airport unnoticed on Saturday (June 21).
Wearing a white t-shirt, navy blue blazer, blue skinny jeans and a fedora, the 32-year-old “Legally Blonde” babe was immediately picked out, with Ms Witherspoon then enlisting the help of an airport officer to guide her through the terminal and towards her departing plane.
As for her personal life, Reese recently finalized her divorce from actor Ryan Phillippe - as she currently is dating her “Rendition” co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, taking things slowly along the way.
“Jake wants to get married, he’s never been engaged and he’s never been married before,” a friend of the couple recently told OK! magazine. “He wants to experience that, and have that high of saying vows and making it official. He’s a guy that does things by the book, and I wouldn’t be surprised if by the year’s end he and Reese got married… it’s just convincing her it’s what to do!”
