Lindsay Lohan’s Mom Gets Her Own Show
Lindsay Lohan’s Mom Gets Her Own Show
If you thought you were sick of Lindsay Lohan’s mom being all over the TV throughout her daughter’s rehab struggles, things are about to go from bad to worse.
There are reports that the Mean Girls actress’ mommy, Dina, is set to begin filming a yet-untitled reality TV series for the E! network.
And according to Dina, the show will star her singer/actress/hopefully-avoids-the-pitfalls-of-her-older-sister Ali, and Dina herself. LiLo may even make an appearance, as well. Momma Lohan told press, “Lindsay is a family member and will lend a helping hand if Ali asks her, when she’s in the recording studio.”
She tells press that the show is all about giving the public a correct view of her family. “There are so many misconceptions about me and my family. I’m setting the record straight.”
Oh, and it’s also about victory in the single motherhood department. “It’s about empowering women to be successful single mothers. About being in the limelight without compromising motherhood. It’s about what I do, how you can be successful, and be a single mom and fulfilling your kids’ dreams. Working is my sole source of income.”
But wait… there’s more…”It won’t just be following my family around like other shows. It’ll show me cultivating careers, going to soccer practice. I’m a big supporter of domestic violence charities, so they’ll show that. Then they’ll show Cody at soccer practice. Ali going to school and in the studio. It’ll encompass everything. You’ll see me having five business meetings in the city.”
Filming is scheduled to begin next week.
Hilary Duff Role Based On Britney Spears?
Hilary Duff Role Based On Britney Spears?
While she’s quietly been building a relationship with hockey star Mike Comrie over the past few months, Hilary Duff spent Saturday night on an evening out with the girls.
The Lizzie Maguire actress appeared in high spirits as she left Central nightclub in Hollywood, where she enjoyed time with her older sister Haylie and a few friends.
As far as her professional life is concerned, Duff stars alongside John Cusack in War, Inc., which is scheduled to premiere at Sundance this month.
Speaking to press about Hilary’s character in the film, Cusack recently told the Sun Times: “She plays a very slutty pop star, which is the real joke. The idea of Hilary, who is so classy and wholesome, playing a slut is funny.”
Interestingly enough, it looks as if the role is actually modeled on troubled pop tart Britney Spears, as Cusack teased: “In our movie, she’s a slutty singer who wants to be like one the girls in the headlines now, although we don’t need to name names.”
Nicky Hilton’s Knobby Knees
Nicky Hilton’s Knobby Knees
Some girls have all the luck, while others hang out in their shadow. And when it comes to being a media darling, Nicky Hilton always seems to be playing second fiddle to her older sister Paris.
The younger Hilton was spotted out and about yesterday, shopping on Melrose and attracting a bit of attention from the paparazzi. Unfortunately, it was for the wrong reasons.
It seems that Nicky has some seriously bony knees, as evidenced by her black shorts. Perhaps her inner fashion designer was out on lunch when she chose her attire yesterday.
But she takes it all in stride. After all, she may not be as famous as her older sis, but at least there aren’t sex tapes of her floating around the internet… and she never had to do any time in the slammer!
Cameron Diaz’s Easter Sunday Shopping
Cameron Diaz’s Easter Sunday Shopping
Heading out in Hollywood on Easter Sunday, Cameron Diaz kept herself busy with a trip to Bristol Farms for some much needed holiday supplies.
The Charlie’s Angels actress, who wore a white tank along with her turquoise jeans, scooped up a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine for what was sure to be a relaxing Easter evening.
Diaz is currently in the midst of working on her new movie My Sister’s Keeper, which co-stars Abigail Breslin and Alec Baldwin.
The film is based on the Jodi Picoult novel of the same name, which tells the tale of a young girl who sues her parents for the right to make her own decisions about how her body is used when a kidney transplant is planned in order to potentially save her older sister.
