Sure, Independence Day was actually Friday, July 4th. But that didn’t stop Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fiancé Ross McCall from extending the festivities over the weekend.
The “Ghost Whisperer” babe and her Scottish stud beau threw a belated Fourth of July soiree yesterday at their home in Toluca Lake, California. And they covered all of their bases.
For catering, the sweethearts rented an ‘In and Out Burger’ truck to feed all of their guests. Talk about a California-style affair!
At one point, Jennifer was spotted toting around a barefoot child in a diaper, looking like a very natural potential mother. After all, she and Ross could have a little family expansion in the works one of these days!

If you happened to be in New York City yesterday, and noticed a crowd around 53rd and Broadway, blame Sarah Michelle Gellar. She stopped by the Ed Sullivan Theater for an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.
The “Cruel Intentions” babe was spotted taking pictures with fans and signing autographs in a retro-style tweed coat, black-and-cream dress and some seriously high heels.
With the ongoing writers’ strike, Gellar’s role in the big-screen adaptation of “Alice in Wonderland” has been called into question. But she says that she’s still in, provided the strike ends soon.
She told press, “It’s a passion project of mine. It’s a story that I’d love to see. [But] I’m fearful at this rate that I’m going to be the Queen of Hearts because I’m going to be too old to be Alice.
Still, Gellar hopes to see the idea come into fruition. “It’s something I’d really like to see done. And unfortunately, it was the victim of regime change in the studio. [But] contrary to what you may have read, it’s still my project. So to all those Alice fans, I’m not giving up. Because I believe there is such a beautiful, crazy, cool, twisted story to be told there, and if I have to get down and write it myself one of these days, I may have to…!”

Milo Ventimiglia Cast in Gerard Butler’s Game
Heroes star (and Rocky Balboa’s son) Milo Ventimiglia has joined the cast of the currently untitled Gerard Butler action sci-fi movie (codenamed: Game). You know, the film from the two maniacs who brought us Crank. Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor were also the guys who wrote Milo’s last film Pathology, which we swear will get a firm release date one of these days. Milo will play “a very interesting futuristic character that’s not necessarily in control of himself…” Ventimiglia describes his character as kinda a “bad guy”. In the movie, Gerard Butler is a prisoner who is being controlled in a massive multiplayer online figint game.
