Many times, celebrities have to bite their tongues and accept the negative press that comes along with the constant praise and attention that they receive.
One would think that Britney Spears would be used to this, but apparently a recent “Unsexy” poll released by Maxim has the Gimme More singer wanting an apology.
Accoding to press, “The star was planning to make a surprise appearance at a Maxim magazine event at Opera nightclub in Los Angeles on Tuesday night until she found out about the magazine’s most recent “top five unsexiest women” poll, alongside Madonna, Amy Winehouse, Sandra Oh and Sarah Jessica Parker.”
A Spears camp insider told OK! magazine, “Brit started saying that Maxim had always been so good to her in the past and she didn’t want to miss anything fun. (But) we didn’t want her to get inside Opera and have people coming up to her or telling her she was a part of that list. It would have been really bad if she had had a breakdown inside the club in front of everyone and she wanted to go out and have a good time and forget all the drama at home.”
Instead of letting her face the embarrassment, her friends then told her what list she was on, with the insider telling, “She started to pout and her eyes were filling up with tears. She had no idea there was such a thing as an Unsexy list and it came as a pretty big shock.”
The group then skipped out on the party, with the source adding: “Brit’s been talking about demanding an apology from Maxim.”
Repo! The Genetic Opera!: “this isn’t Saw… Nor is it Sweeney Todd…”
Five weeks after Repo! The Genetic Opera! wrapped production, director Darren Lynn Bousman reports that a first cut of the film in is the can. And while that is a cause for celebration, Bousman is becoming more unsure of what the audience for this musical horror film might be.
“The truth of the matter is - I have no fucking CLUE what the public and movie goer is going to say about this movie…” Bousman writes in his latest blog entry. “As I have said numerous times - this isn’t SAW… Nor is it SWEENY TODD… It’s a hybrid of horror, comedy, and good old fashion ROCK and ROLL!”
Bousman hopes to garner a Rocky Horror-ish response, with people singing in the theaters.
“[that] is my TRUE dream of the this movie… That I walk into a theatre somewhere and hear the audience singing along to ZYDRATE ANATOMY - or WE STARTED THIS OPERA SHIT…”
Repo! The Genetic Opera! is set to hit theaters on April 25th 2008.

Audrina Patridge has been spending her time enjoying the company of her girlfriends. as she recently pulled the plug on her relationship with boyfriend Justin “Bobby” Brescia.
The 22-year-old star of The Hills, who partied it up at an Assassin’s Creed video game party on Wednesday, talked to press about what exactly happened to the relationship that’s no more.
“I caught him doing something he shouldn’t have been doing and it was just the last straw. It was one of the hardest nights ever I’ve had to deal with. And it was on camera too,” Audrina told Us magazine of her October 16th fight with Justin “Bobby” at Club Opera.
While Audrina was unwilling to go into specifics, a Hills source tells that Brescia was “making out with a red-headed girl right in front of Audrina, and when she confronted him about it he laughed in her face.”
Of her decision to tell her now ex-boyfriend to hit the road, Audrina said, “I don’t feel like he’s giving it all. I’m always there for him no matter what, and sometimes I don’t feel like it’s mutual.”

It’s always an interesting occasion when Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag end up at the same place. And that’s exactly what happened last night, as the bickering stars from The Hills were among a celeb-filled crowd at the 2007 version of Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood Party.
Speaking to press, Lauren shrugged off the ongoing feud with Heidi and her boyfriend Spencer Pratt, saying, “We just don’t talk. I don’t talk about her. People make more of it than it is.” True to her word, LC and Heidi kept their distance at the Opera nightclub party.
Changing the subject, Conrad said that she was “psyched” about being included on the (Hot Hollywood) list. “It’s always cool to get an award for anything.”
Other attendees included Lauren’s roomie, Audrina Patridge, along with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Amanda Bynes, Kanye West, Mary J Blige, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Chris Brown - to name a few.
