It’s a Girl for Nicole & Keith! Their Sunday Rose Blooms on Monday
Nicole Kidman beat Angelina Jolie to the finish line.
The Aussie Oscar winner and her Grammy-winning husband, Keith Urban, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, this morning in Nashville.
The Monday-born Sunday Rose Kidman Urban checked in at 6 pounds, 7½ ounces, according to a statement from their publicist.
“Keith was by Nicole’s side, and mother and baby are very well,” the rep added.
On his website, Urban gave a shout-out to his family and fans.
“Earlier this morning, Nic gave birth to our beautiful baby girl,” he wrote. “We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with all of you today. More to follow…”
Presumably the “more to follow” will include why they picked the moniker for their newborn.
Kidman, 41, has two other children from her union with Tom Cruise, Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13. She and Urban, 40, married June 25, 2006.
They announced their pregnancy in January.
Just this weekend, Urban noted that his missus was due to burst at any minute. At a Nashville concert Saturday, with Kidman waiting in the wings, Urban dedicated his song “Better Half” to his “very, very, very, very, very pregnant wife.”
Charlize and Stuart: No One Is More in Love
Could Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend be any more sickeningly in love?
The blond beauty says the ring he gave her isn’t an engagement number, but more of an ongoing love note.
“It was a Victorian thing,” Theron says in the new issue of Elle UK. “You put in a lock of hair or a little note to remind you of your loved one…Every time I go away he puts in a little love note.”
What else has Townsend given the Oscar winner?
A kick in the ass, so to speak.
“Stuart made me softer,” Theron coos. “He was one of the few guys who wasn’t afraid of me. What he saw was not toughness but vulnerability. I am massively vulnerable, and for so long I just worked hard to cover that up. Stuart wasn’t scared to confront that. He is the one man who never worries about kicking me up the backside.”
The Hancock star also says she thinks her body is rockin’. “I don’t have hang-ups about the way I look,” she insists. “I can see myself in the mirror when I’m all done up and think I look pretty hot…I have curves and they belong to my body.”

Jamie Foxx Wants His Reality MTV
Jamie Foxx is adding reality television to his résumé.
The Oscar winner is an executive producer of MTV’s From G’s to Gents, a new competition show in which host Fonzworth Bentley (aka, Diddy’s Personal Umbrella Holder) attempts to makeover a bunch of rather rough men into charming sophisticates.
Think Pygmalion meets Boyz n the Hood.
“He really jumped into that executive-producer seat,” Bentley says of Foxx. “There were some ideas that I would come up with, and I’d say, ’You know, I would love to be able to do this.’ He was like, ’All right! If that’s what we’ve got to do to get these guys to change, then let’s do it.’”
And these were not easy men to change. Bentley not only did his best to teach them, among other things, how to dress, speak and even eat, but he was also the sole judge deciding who goes and who stays. The winner takes home $100,000.
The hardest part was watching one man struggle with major anger issues who was repeatedly fired from various jobs because of violence, Bentley said. He won’t reveal too muchyou have to wait until the series premieres on July 15but Bentley admits he had to give the man the boot.
“We actually ended up bringing in this lady who meets with prisoners in San Quentinlike a life coachand we did some sessions with her,” Bentley says. “She’s actually still doing sessions with this young man.”
Tatum O’Neal Cops to Bad Conduct, Gets Wrist Slapped
Crime may not pay, but for Tatum O’Neal, it doesn’t exactly cost all that much, either.
The former wild child actress has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct stemming from her June crack bust. Prosecutors in turn dropped more serious charges, including drug possession.
To atone for her misdoing, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Elisa Koenderman sentenced the youngest ever Oscar winner to spend two half-day sessions in a drug-treatment program and pay a $95 fee.
Should the 44-year-old Rescue Me star make good on both conditions of her sentence by Sept. 4, when she’s due back in court, the case against her will be dismissed.
O’Neal turned down a nearly identical deal from prosecutors last month in which they offered her the chance to plead guilty to disorderly conduct and spend two days in a treatment. No word on what caused the change of heart.
