Hayden Panettiere’s Got a Gun

Hayden Panettiere’s Got a Gun

Packing some heat, Hayden Panettiere looked ever the femme fatale while on the set of her hit show Heroes, which was shooting in Los Angeles on Saturday (June 21).

Also on hand was boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia, who wore an all black ensemble with his hair slicked back as he filmed a few action sequences.

Season three of the show is all set to open with a three-hour episode airing Monday, September 22, 2008. According to studio reports, the first hour will be a clip show of the past two seasons with the final two hours containing the Heroes season premiere and the opening of the third volume, “Villains”.”

While “Villains” was originally designed to be included within the second season, the writers’ strike forced the volume to be carried over into what’s sure to be a captivating season three.

Is Audrina Patridge Packing Her Bags?

Audrina Patridge

Clearly, there’s trouble in The Hills…or at least in the house Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth share.

A source tells News that Audrina has been not-so-nicely asked to pack her bags.

“They left a note on her door [of the guest house] telling her she had to move out,” says the insider.

This comes after reports that the castmates completely avoided each other at a bowling event on Thursday.

While Audrina’s rep says she’s still living with her frenemies, she declined to comment on whether the brunette babe is indeed moving.

“That will all play out on this season of The Hills,” she says.

Not if the paparazzi can get pictures of her packing first…

Desperate Housewives: The Gun Song / Free (season finale)

Desperate Housewives
(S04E16/S04E17) “I’m Wayne Davis. We’re about to have some fun.” - Wayne

Answers. As ABC promised us, we’ve got them. The two-hour season finale of Desperate Housewives wrapped up the season-long Katherine/Dylan/Wayne storyline, sent Kayla packing, and paved the way for a revamped Wisteria Lane.

For ease of writing and reading, I’ll be commenting the events of “The Gun Song” and “Free” in one slightly longer than usual post. I sadly can’t comment everything that happened in this special two-hour event, so feel free to dish and comment about what I didn’t pick on.

Susan

Maynard? Really? I know why Mike wanted the name and why Susan caved in, but couldn’t it be his middle name? Conner Maynard Delfino would have been a nice compromise if you ask me. Why didn’t they think of it?

Even if Susan grew a lot in the past years and, according to Julie, became more secure and confident, she still is somewhat immature. She went around Mike to get their son’s name changed and she lied to Julie so she would have her three months to mentally prepare for her daughter’s departure for Princeton, etc. And I’m not sure Susan will be more grown up in the future. For the casting of Susan’s new husband, writers wrote up a scene where he finds her at Maynard’s school. It his first day and she can’t let go of him. In that scene, she is cleaning the school’s grounds because, according to Susan, it’s a minefield (she found a plastic sand shovel in the… sand pit!). So as you can see, it looks like new Susan will still act as… old Susan! Then again, do we really want her to grow up?

Lynette

Bye bye Kayla! The devil’s spawn finally got a taste of her own medicine when her plan to get Tom for herself backfired. I can see why Tom was torn between his wife and his daughter but he made the right decision. Kayla needed to get away from Wisteria Lane not only for the Scavos’ sanity and future together but also for herself. It wasn’t working for her in the household. Kayla needed new surroundings, a fresh start. Let’s hope her grandparents were able to put her back on the right track.

What a speech Tom made about marriage! If Lynette had any doubts about his love for her, they were all washed away with what he said to Bob and Lee. Bravo Tom! You not only patched things up between Bob and Lee but also with your wife. I thank you for it because you guys are one of my favorite couple on TV and you need to stay strong no matter what!

Gabrielle

It was fun to see Justine Bateman back on TV but the Ellie storyline wasn’t the best one this year. It felt like a “filler” so that Gaby and Carlos would have something to do until the time jump. It was also a reason for them to get money so that they could pay their bills and adopt. This was the weak storyline of the season finale… enough said about it.

Bree

Bree had a lot to do in the finale. Not only did she have to deal with a stalking Orson, but she had to cater an event by herself. Okay, she was technically not alone since she “hired” the girls, but her partner Katherine wasn’t there to help. Even if Bree had a bad day the day of the wedding, she was able to pull off everything quite nicely. No wonder it paved the way to bigger things for her in the future.

What I liked most about Bree’s storyline this week is how she stood by Katherine’s side. Bree always was a strong woman and she showed it once again when she went outside and rallied the troops to lie to the cops in order to protect Katherine. She was convincing enough to have Susan, Gaby, and Lynette, who all thought Katherine wasn’t enough one of them to attend poker night, change their tunes and sing in unison. I wonder if that collective lie will bite them in the behind eventually. Secrets on Wisteria Lane sometimes stay hidden for years but they always come out eventually.

Katherine

Here lies our answers. Or should I say, here lies Dylan. As some of us expected, Dylan was not the real one. The latter accidentally died really young and was buried in the woods. In order to not have Wayne ask questions about her whereabouts, Katherine found a Romanian girl who looked a lot like Dylan. No wonder the fake Dylan could not remember Julie and her past on Wisteria Lane.

I’m satisfied with the plot. The answers met my expectations. Even if we what we speculated about turned out to be true, there were still tidbits that were unexpected (for example, how Dylan died, the aunt’s role in all this, etc.). Wayne was a mysterious, fierce and dark character who brought an interesting and entertaining touch to the show. I always wondered what he would do next and he kept me a bit on the edge of my seat tonight. As a Browncoat, I was not a happy camper when Wayne kicked Adam around. But how proud was I when Adam (played by Nathan Fillion) channeled his inner Captain Malcolm ’Mal’ Reynolds to fake his death, escape, steal a car, crash a wedding, and save the day!

5-year time jump

We’ve known for weeks that the show was contemplating jumping 5 years in the future. And about 3 weeks ago, we learned that Gale Harold was joining the cast and rumors had it that he would play Susan’s new husband. All that turned out to be true.

I know some people (fans and critics included) thought that the show would be jumping the shark with that time jump. However, I’m not ready to use that expression yet. The show will enter its fifth season in September and it needed an overhaul to keep people interested and intrigued. This time jump has the potential of doing both.

We got a peek at what the future holds (Bree is Martha-Stewart famous, Lynette and Tom still have problems with the twins, Gaby adopted two girls, Katherine is happy and her daughter is getting married, Susan is married to someone who is not Mike) and it looks like a lot happened in five years. I expect the show to now be set in that new time and feature flashbacks from those five years, meaning that actors like James Denton would appear in a few episodes. What happened to Mike? Is he dead? Did he and Susan divorce? Why? Who is that guy she married? (According to casting calls, he’ll be named Ken.) How did they meet? Does he have a shady past? How did Bree get her big break? Is Katherine helping her out somehow? What made her finally forgive Orson and what he did to Mike? What made Gaby change her mind about kids? Is the Scavo pizzeria still open? If the twins turned out bad, how did the other two turn out? What about Kayla? Will she return to Wisteria Lane to seek revenge on Lynette? The list of questions could go on and on and on.

Overall, I was pleased with this season. The addition of Katherine was one of the best things that happened to the show this season and I’m glad that she’ll be sticking around. The character is interesting and the storyline was mysterious enough to have me guessing all season. I’m not afraid of the time jump and I can’t wait to see how they use it next season.

What did you think of the season finale? Was this fourth season better than the others? Do you think the five-year time jump is a good idea? Let your voice be heard by voting in our polls and commenting below!

Jennifer Aniston: Hello New York!

Jennifer Aniston: Hello New York!

East coasters are about to get another famous celebrity neighbor.  Former Friends actress Jennifer Aniston is packing her bags and moving to New York City.

The big move has been pretty hush-hush until now.  She’s dropped hints like telling press that she’s sick of life in Los Angeles, but that’s been about it.

But now Jen has announced that she has purchased a new home in New York, and we all know what that means… Broadway.  The rumors that the Good Girl actress may be hitting the stage for the next phase of her career are looking pretty likely.

A friend of Jen’s told press, “Her mind is made up. She’s been keeping a lot of the details to herself - until now.” Her friend also said that Jen hopes to make the cross country move by the end of the year.

Though she’s been very adamant about declining to do a Friends reunion, maybe Jen wants to get back to the Central Perk area after all!
