Tinsley Mortimer Gets Into “Gossip Girl”

Tinsley Mortimer Gets Into “Gossip Girl”

Manhattan socialite Tinsley Mortimer, along with Gossip Girl cast members Blake Lively and Taylor Momsen, were spotted looking lovely in white ensembles on Monday morning as they got to work on the set of their hit CW show.

Currently filming in the Hamptons on Long Island, New York, Mortimer, aka The Tinz, recently scored herself a cameo on the juicy drama, fitting in quite nicely with her now fellow co-stars.

In related news, MTV recently shot down a reality show that was to feature Ms. Mortimer as the main attraction.

A source told Page Six, “A Tinsley reality show was shot by MTV. But they couldn’t use any of it. It’s collecting dust. She looked good but she just got dressed and went to parties every day and didn’t have anything interesting to say. It was incredibly boring. The project is dead.”

Piers Say What?!

Piers Morgan

“I can die a happy man now. I’ve met Nelson Mandela, Princess Di, Queen Elizabeth II and Tony Blair, but this was the biggest honor.”

America’s Got Talent grouch Piers Morgan on being interviewed by Howard Stern, telling Page Six it’s the highlight of his career. This takes dry British humor to the next level: Sahara desert parched!

Bruce Willis Looks Vaguely Bruce Willis-ish

Bruce Willis

Proof again that no good deed goes unpunished, Bruce Willis told a waiter who was serving him at P.J. Clarke’s that he was the spitting image of Tom Hanks. The waiter returned the compliment, according to Page Six, by saying, “You think I look like Tomwell, I think you look like Bruce Willis, so yippee-ki-yay!’

Willis insisted that “I am Bruce Willis,” but apparently his line reading was about as believable as his work in Hudson Hawk, so the guy remained skeptical. Eager to prove his identity, Bruce reportedly returned for dinner three hours later with ex-wife Demi Moore and daughter Tallulah.

Looks like Demi can add another credit to her résumé: A-list I.D. card stand-in!

Mary J. Obliges a Fashionable New Fan

Mary J. Blige

Mary J. Blige may have been living the high life for quite some time now. But despite a plethora of chart-topping hits, collabos with some of the hottest artists in the industry and respect from fellow musicians, the R&B singer hasn’t forgotten where she came from.

Following in the footsteps of Renée Zellweger, Mary J. gave an ordinary girl some serious star fashion treatment.

Last week, Mary J. was at the Diane von Furstenberg store in NYC when she overheard a a girl having a problem at the register. According to Page Six, the customer had a dress on hold that she loved, and the bill was $900. She thought it was only $500, and she couldn’t afford it. Blige told the saleswoman, “Go get the girl. I want to pay for the balance on the dress.”

The customer at first declined Blige’s offer but relented after Mary said, “I know what it’s like to want something and not be able to have it. I insist.” The girl reportedly wanted to send her a check for the balance, but Blige said, “Just enjoy it. I’m blessed, so let me do this.’”

Mary J. may be the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, but kudos to her for remembering what it was like before she wore the crown.
