Moonlight's Back, and the Cast Is Spillin' Secrets!

Alex O’Loughlin, Sophia Myles

Moonlight returns tonight! Want a sneak peek at what's to come?

Well lucky for you, the cast—including Alex O'Loughlin, Sophia Myles and, oh yeah, Jason Dohring—were feeling chatty when I hit the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.

Check out the vids below for my exclusive red carpet interviews with the pretty, pretty cast, and then I want to hear some cheers of "Vampire solidarity! Rah-rah!" in the comments. I know you guys have it in you.

TV Fest '08: X-Files Coming to the Big Screen Again!

The truth is not only out there, it's right in here. An all-new X-Files 2 trailer premiered Wednesday night at the Paley Center for Media's 25th Annual TV Fest. (The series clip reel starts it off, and the trailer starts around 2:50.) Then click in for more movie scoop from masterminds Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz.

CHRIS CARTER

What was it like shooting in Canada again after having moved the show from Vancouver to L.A. halfway through its run?
It was wonderful. I had so many friends up there, I had so many people that I've worked with up there. It wasn't a reunion exactly, because we could only hire one person for each job. So that was unfortunate. But I hope to be going back there again, not just for The X-Files, but for other things.

Yay! You've been very secretive about the movie, as is, of course, your writing privilege, but the casting was released of Amanda Peet and Xzibit. Was that on purpose or was that by accident? Was that a little tidbit you were putting out there?
I think it was on purpose/by accident. I think what happens is…a public relations machine starts up, and it's very hard to keep those things a secret. So I think what wasn't announced is what they are playing, the roles they're playing, and we'll announce that later on.

What's the title of the movie?
There is no title yet.

When will you decide that?
I've already decided, but whether or not it remains the title is up to Fox.

Annabeth Gish has said she might be in the third movie—have you planned the third movie?
No, I haven't even finished cutting this one.

Is it true that there is a love scene in the movie between Mulder and Scully? Thought I'd throw that out there.
Nice try.

FRANK SPOTNITZ

Have you completed principal photography?
Yes, we finished 10 days ago.

Excellent work. When can fans expect to see the official trailer for the movie in theaters?
I think…April.

Do you guys plan to go to Comic-Con this year, which is happening at about the same as the movie comes out in the theaters?
We're trying to figure that out right now.

What's the name of the movie?
We're trying to figure that out right now.

Is there going to be a subtitle? The X-Files 2: Something Something?
I think so. We don't have permission to say yet what it is. But hopefully in the next few weeks.

Will it be The X-Files 2: Where Is Mulder and Scully's Baby?
That's a good title. My lips are sealed.

Will the whereabouts of baby William be revealed in the movie in any way, shape or form?
It's not a mythology movie, but it is true to everything that has happened to Mulder and Scully. So we'll sort of acknowledge all the backstory that diehard fans are aware of. But it's not the sort of movie that carries on any of the mythology storylines. Not this time around.

Buffy: "Look It Up: Slayer Comma The"

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Tonight, we laughed at God (that's Joss Whedon to you newbies); we cried—all over again—at Amber Benson's exquisite "Under Your Spell"; we came together to celebrate a show that many in the crowd testified "saved my life," "changed my life," "made me the person I am today…"

From 10 years on, Buffy the Vampire Slayer appears to be not so much a TV show as a masterpiece of human empathy. To celebrate Buffy's decade anniversary, the Scooby Gang reunited Thursday night at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood for the Paley Center for Media's 25th Annual Television Festival. The evening celebrated a show that is not just a landmark of television, but almost certainly a landmark in the souls of its millions of fans.

Season Eight and Beyond

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Honestly, it was a signal night and a joy to experience, and I wish you all could have been there live.

Check back later today for exclusive video and a photo gallery, but in the meantime, if you have questions about exactly what went down, post 'em below, and I'll post answers as soon as I can.

Finally, before we wrap this, I have a personal favor to ask.

Post your favorite Buffy quote in the comments. I wanted to sprinkle BtVS quotes through this item, because while they say almost everything that needs to be said about life in bite-size format, but there were too many to choose from, so I'm throwing the selections to you…Go!

Gossip Girl: Getting Up Close and Personal

Gossip Girl, Cast, Meester, Lively, Crawford

The gorgeous cast of Gossip Girl left their home base of New York City this weekend and flew to Los Angeles where they were honored by the Paley Center for Media. Not only was the panel one of the prettiest we've ever seen, but it was one of the most fun, too.

Click in below for more pics and scoop from the night…

Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Taylor Momsen

Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen), who was introduced by moderator Tim Stack as "the best head of hair in Hollywood," and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf), who was originally a blonde and had to dye her hair during the Gossip Girl audition process, pose for the photogs with Taylor Momsen (Jenny Humphrey).

Taylor Momsen, Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr

Taylor meets up with Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams), whose characters will begin hanging out when the series returns for five new episodes on April 21. Fun fact: Jessica met Girl executive producer Josh Schwartz last year when she attended a barbeque at his house with mutual friends. He took one look at her and told producing partner Stephanie Savage, "That's Vanessa!"

Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick

Seen here with Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) made the ladies swoon with his thick British accent—and made it impossible for Josh Schwartz to understand a word he said. He gave two thumbs up to the pairing of his character, Chuck, with bratty girl Blair. Of her portrayer, Leighton, he said "How could I not [be happy]? I mean, come on, look at her." Awww…

Penn Badgley, Gossip Girl

The show's resident good guy, Dan Humphrey (played by Penn Badgley), will get dirtied up a bit this spring…though his lady love, Serena, will likely get in more trouble. Schwartz promises the return of "bad girl" S.

Kelly Rutherford

Kelly Rutherford's character, Lily, may or may not be a bride to be. "We are building toward a wedding, but we won't say whose [wedding] or if it happens," said Savage. As for Lily's shaky relationship with Rufus Humphrey, Matthew Settle doesn't see why it would be a problem for their respective onscreen kids, Serena and Dan: "It's 2008. I think they should have a double date…"

Leighton Meester

By the way, Blair and Jenny go to war this spring, Schwartz told the audience. But when Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg), a blast from Serena's past, shows up, Blair will be very intimidated…

Stay tuned!
