Jessica Simpson Meets the Parents
Jessica Simpson Meets the Parents
Getting a jump-start on her skills as an aunt (her sister Ashlee will be giving birth later this year) Jessica Simpson was spotted carrying a friend’s baby yesterday (July 2).
The “With You” singer was joined by her BFF hairstylist Ken Paves and a few pals for lunch at a restaurant in Santa Monica, California.
And the aspiring country singer was looking her part in a denim jacket overtop a beautiful blue and white printed summer dress teamed with a pair of aviator sunglasses.
According to press, Jessica met her boyfriend Tony Romo’s parents this past weekend. The still-going-strong couple flew out to Janesville, Wisconsin to have dinner with the Romos at their local Olive Garden.
A witness reports that things went well. “She scooted up next to him during the meal. They were acting like a couple. They were laughing. It was just a big family being out.”
Recognize the Reveler: Who’s Flipping the Finger?
Here’s a Hint: This blond singer has a hit song that’s getting major airplay and she’s clubbing at NYC hot spot Butter, so why’s she giving us a digital diss? Maybe she’s just trying to show off her injured finger to gain some sympathy points from her paparazzi pals.
Judging by her tacky getups, the only person she should be mad at is her stylist. Think you know who’s flipping off photogs? Get the answer right here!
Will Arrested Movie Happen? The Latest From Jason Bateman

Amy in Plano, Texas: Kristin, you’re killing me with the silence! What say you about the revived rumor that there might be an Arrested Development movie?
Trust me, I am just as giddy. (Been scraping myself off the ceiling, which is the only cause for delay, sorry.)
After hearing Jason Bateman tell Keith Olberman that a big-screen version of Arrested Development is “in the works” (while promoting his new movie Hancock, also starring AD’s Rita, aka Charlize Theron), I promptly stalked reached out to Jason for any updates he might be willing to share with the fans. Jason tells me: “There’s nothing new from what was said on Olberman. It’s all in the process of being worked out, and hopefully they figure out a way.”
Please, Santie Claus?
Pals close to the sitch tell me there is no script and that [Arrested boss] Mitch Hurwitz is busy with his new animated series, Sit Down and Shut Up. But it’s definitely on his radar, so here’s hoping he gets things going.
Your mission? To comment below and make sure the decision makers know how much you fans want an Arrested flick. (Bonus points if you email your Bluth-loving friends to do the same.)
I’m no analrapist (an analyst/therapist) like Dr. Tobias Fünke, but seems to me it certainly couldn’t hurt!
Just Call Them Slash/Bach
We can hear it now, the inevitable “Youth Gone Wild in the Paradise City” medley.
Sebastian Bach has revealed that former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash has contacted him “out of the blue” about collaborating on a top-secret project.
The erstwhile Skid Row frontman tells Billboard he was invited by Slash to team up on a musical odyssey, which Bach is predicting will be absolutely “mind-blowing.”
However, he couldn’t say much more about it, claiming he’s been sworn him to secrecy.
The one thing Bach did say is that he won’t be joining Slash’s current outfit, Velvet Revolver, as a replacement for fired vocalist Scott Weiland, who has since reunited with his old mates in Stone Temple Pilots.
Bach said joining Revolver would be “awkward” because he’s pals with Slash’s old partner Axl Rose. Skid Row opened for the Gunners in the early ’90s, and Bach contributed vocals to the eternally delayed Chinese Democracy.
According to Bach, he and Slash are expected to get together soon.
As for Weiland, after getting tossed out of Revolver for “increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems,” he gave his blessing to the idea of Bach replacing him, saying he would be “fantastic.”
