Beyonce Knowles: Shopping in LA
Beyonce Knowles: Shopping in LA
With her rap star mogul husband overseas, Beyonce Knowles was spotted taking advantage of her free time with a shopping spree in Los Angeles on Thursday (June 19).
The “Crazy In Love” singer, tied the knot with Jay-Z back in April, spent time browsing the shops’ selections before being led out to her car by a bodyguard using a shopping bag to cover the R&B hitmaker’s face from lined-up paparazzi.
In related news, it appears that Beyonce and Jay-Z’s fellow celebrity pals are tired of waiting for the two to consummate their marriage with a baby.
Rapper Snoop Dogg, who has 3 kids, tells that starting a family should be the goal for any wedded couple.
“I told them to go home and make babies,” he says. “They should, that’s the next step as far as marriage, having kids … add on to the family, so hopefully that’s what they’ll do.”
Lauren Conrad: A Day In the Life
Lauren Conrad: A Day In the Life
It was a typical hectic Wednesday for Hills hottie Lauren Conrad, as she went about her daily business while filming new scenes for the hit MTV reality show.
To kick things off, LC and a gal pal attended a meeting at Fine Line Inc., where the 22-year-old Laguna Beach native spent over an hour inside before leaving with some clothes samples in hand.
From there, an animated Miss Conrad joined friends for lunch at Toast on 3rd Street - entertaining the gathered girls throughout the lunch date.
Finished up with her grub and gossip, Lauren quickly made her way Downtown to attend an event at the Fashion Institute before getting all dressed up for a night at Kumo with co-star pals Audrina Patridge and Lauren “Lo” Bosworth.
K-Fed Feted as Father of the Year
What’s it take to be a good dad? Not holding a steady job, giving the kids quality time with their crazy mother and ditching them on Father’s Day weekend to party in Vegas.
Friday night, Kevin Federline was named Father of the Year by Privé Nightclub in Las Vegas. Yes, really.
(Guess it’s not so hard to come off as a good parent when your ex-wife locks herself in the bathroom with one of the kids during a three-hour standoff with police.)
Ever the good dad, the former Mr. Britney Spears left sons Jayden James and Sean Preston back in Los Angeles with the nanny so he could receive the award in person. But K-Fed was shy about accepting it.
“The club had a trophy for him in the kitchen, but he didn’t want to get it in public,” a club source tells News.
Federline was mellow but happy most of the night, surrounded by male pals and a bevy of attractive models, none of whom K-Fed showed any special interest. Even when a modeling show of scantily clad girls paraded before him after he arrived around 1 a.m., K-Fed “didn’t pay much attention,” a source tells E!
But K-Fed did make news: He was overheard telling pals he is working on a new album. Joy!
Federline was previously named Father of the Year by Details magazine in November 2007. He also has two children from a previous relationship with Shar Jackson, whom he left when she was six months pregnant in order to be with Brit-Brit.
Lauren Conrad’s Time For Heroes
Lauren Conrad’s Time For Heroes
Heading out on a summery Sunday in Los Angeles, Lauren Conrad and her Hills co-star pals Whitney Port and Lauren “Lo” Bosworth were on hand for the A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival.
Held at the Wadsworth Theater, the A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival is sponsored by Disney and benefits the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
In related news, as previously reported by , MTV is readying to launch a Hills spin-off in which Ms Port “becomes bicoastal while working for fashion PR firm People’s Revolution — and befriends a group of NYC gals (including socialite Olivia Palermo).”
Talking about the show, LC recently told Us magazine: “I think that Whitney will do really well with it. She is a very likable person.”
Giving tips to help make the show successful, Conrad adds: “I would just tell her to have fun with it. She’s always made it very clear on The Hills that she doesn’t want her personal life involved on the show, so it would definitely mean that she would have to come out of her comfort zone.”
