Ashley Tisdale and Jared Murillo: Together Again
They spent a few weeks apart due to their demanding careers and crazy schedules, but yesterday Ashley Tisdale and Jared Murillo were spotted once again enjoying each other’s company.
The High School Musical sweethearts were spotted out and about in Los Angeles, grabbing a bite to eat at Paty’s restaurant and taking full advantage of their time together.
Following their romantic lunch, Ashley and Jared headed over to LAX International Airport in preparation for catching a departing flight. Rumor has it that they’re going on vacation with her parents to celebrate Tizzie’s birthday and the Fourth of July.
And Ashley was sporting not one, but two fabulous pieces of Louis Vuitton gear, including a handbag and a carry-on duffle, while Jared stuck with a black patterned back pack and grey suitcase.

Even Dennis Quaid’s Twin Babies Like Obama!
More details have come in regarding last night’s star-studded fundraising rally in Hollywood for Barack Obama.
Some highlights from a rallygoer:
- Dennis Quaid announced even his 7½-month-old twins are gaga for Obama: “His twins see Barack on TV and say, ’Ohhh!’ “
- Don Cheadle joked from the stage that he’s hoping his involvement with the campaign will mean he”not Will Smith“will end up playing Barack in his biopic.
- Seal explained that although he is not a citizen, he “has a vested interest in this country” because his children are American. The singer and husband of Heidi Klum also “became particularly animated” regarding Barack’s comments about the importance of families. Seal said he is “appalled by the way kids speak to their parents.”
Obama reportedly raised nearly $5 million last night. Other celeb attendees included Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Beals and Sugar Ray Leonard.
Would you give up TV for gas?
This just might be child abuse.
OK, I’m kidding, but I know this would have freaked me out when I was a kid. A mom in Salt Lake City was spending so much money on cable television that she had to cancel it so she’d have money to commute to work. And what did her kids do? They protested, of course! The woman’s two daughters, Pyper and Sadie (two very television character-ish names) got out protest signs and started walking up and down the streets to protest the high price of gas. And in a remarkable twist, the big oil companies saw the protest the girls created and have decided to lower gas prices all across America starting immediately.
Well, no, but the girls did get in the paper! (By the way, I think the AP really has to change the pic that accompanies the link above, unless the girls’ protest went really far.)
The article doesn’t say whether or not the family got rid of TV altogether or just cable. The girls are probably upset that they’re missing Mad Men and Rescue Me, saying “the networks just aren’t what they used to be, with all of the reality shows and repeats. The quality scripted shows are on cable now, everybody knows that. I just hope that SAG comes to an agreement with the studios like AFTRA did.”
I think the girls should open a lemonade stand to help pay for the cable. I’m sure you folks have other suggestions for the parents on how they can get television back into their home.
