Fans Will Have A Good Chance to Be In The Hobbit!?

Peter Jackson included the names of the members of the official Lord of the Rings fan club in the credits for the DVD releases of the LOTR trilogy. Guillermo del Toro might actually top him, promising that fans will actually have “a good chance” to appear on screen in The Hobbit and/or the announced sequel.

“In either of the two films, [fans] have a good chance of being there,” del Toro told MTV, later adding: “We will set some rules and some contests and some fans will definitely get the chance of being extras.”

But I’m sure that only a few extra roles will be made available to contest winners. And while the production might require a few thousand faces for a huge crowd shot, I’m sure computer generated people would be used in such an instance. But wouldn’t it be cool if Guillermo invited a couple thousand fans to be extras on the movie? But how many fans would fly to New Zealand on their own dime to be in the film?

Hilary Duff: So Happy with Mike Comrie

Hilary Duff: So Happy with Mike Comrie

They’ve been successful at keeping their relationship out of the tabloids so far.  And it looks like Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie’s strategy of keeping personal things personal has panned out well for them.

The “Foodfight!” cutie and her hockey player stud were spotted, still going strong, out and about in Los Angeles yesterday (joined by one of Duff’s pooches) for a little bit of shopping and hand-holding.

And it sounds like Miss Duff has been seriously pondering the prospect of becoming Mrs. Comrie, with the people around her giving her a resounding “go for it!”

A source told press, “She’s really into Mike and would like to get married and start a family, so she’s looking for a second opinion about whether he’d be a good fit for her in the long run.” And “Hilary is so happy!” because she’s been getting nothing but a thumbs up response.

Seth Rogen Says No to SuperBad 2, Yes to Pineapple Express 2

When I talked to Jonah Hill a few weeks before SuperBad was released last year, I asked about a possible sequel. Hill responded “We talked about it. But also like the movie hasn’t come out yet. No one could go see it, and the talk would instantly go away of there being a sequel.”

And of course, SuperBad was a big hit, grossing over $169 million worldwide and who knows how much on DVD. So what are the chances we’ll get a SuperBad 2? Seth Rogen told moviehole that the studio has been after them to do a sequel ever since the film was released nearly a year ago, but they’ve ultimately decided not to make a sequel.

“They’re been wanting us to do a sequel to Superbad for so long – but we’ve held off,” Rogen said. “We eventually said No.”

But Rogen isn’t against the idea of sequels all together, adding that he would love to make another Pineapple Express if all goes well.

“If it did well, and they gave us like $50 million dollars, as opposed to the $26M we got for this one, we could benefit from that.”

And from what I’ve heard, Pineapple Express is already tracking pretty high. Everyone I know who has seen it has told me that people are going to love it. And I’m sure Sony will be asking for a sequel after opening weekend.

McFly - One for the Radio Lyrics

Here’s another song for the radio

Life isn’t fair for the people who care
Stick your nose in the air and that’s how you go far
So go tell your lovers, your fathers and brothers
Your sisters and mothers how lucky they are

Light speed, out of my mind
I’m hurt, but I’ll be fine
Put you fist in the air,
Raise your voice and declare,
Singing: We don’t care,
(We don’t care)
We don’t care
(We don’t care)

So here’s another song for the radio
And here’s another line from the heart
So don’t pretend you hate us when you sing along
‘Cuz we all look the same in the dark

L.A temptations, or music sensations
There’s great expectations that weigh on our heads
So here’s to the liars who dream and conspire
Against the admired, we hope you drop dead

Light speed, out of my mind
I’m hurt, but I’ll be fine
Put you fist on your chest,
Raise your voice and protest,
Singing: We don’t care,
(We don’t care)
We don’t care
(We don’t care)

So here’s another song for the radio
And here’s another line from the heart
So don’t pretend you hate us when we sing our songs
‘Cuz we all look the same in the dark

We don’t, we don’t care
We don’t, we don’t care
We don’t, we don’t care
We don’t, we don’t care

Here’s one for the radio
Here’s one for the radio
Here’s one for the radio
(one for the radio)
Here’s one for the radio

So here’s another song for the radio
And here’s another line from the heart
So don’t pretend you hate us when we sing our songs
‘Cuz we all look the same in the dark

Here’s another song for the radio
(song for the radio)
Here’s another line from the heart
(o o o o)
So don’t pretend you hate us when you sing along
‘Cuz we all look the same in the dark
(from the radio)
‘Cuz we all look the same, we all look the same in the dark
(from the radio)
‘Cuz we all look the same, we all look the same in the dark
