Lost Ads Coming to the Big Screen

Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Lost

This just in: Lost is coming to the big screen!

Oh, how I wish I could tell you our beloved Evie, Matthew and Josh are starring in a movie version of the show we so adore, but this is pretty much the next best thing: Sources tell me ABC has secured a deal to air promos for the upcoming fourth season of Lost (with new footage!) before all movies rated PG and above in Screenvision and NCM chains in December.

Hear that? It's the sound of this die-hard couch potato running out to buy my tickets!

And by the way, this also means ABC thinks the new season of Lost is so good, it warrants such play. I've heard from Alphabet-net insiders that the upcoming eight episodes filmed so far are "crazy good" and will "even satisfy the haters." So, if you're already starting to feel the fourth-season fever, sound off below, will ya?

And if you're headed for the aforementioned theaters, don't you dare think about hitting the bathroom before the show…

Big Brother 9: live feeds report - Feb. 17

Crazy James from BB9 is more normal than manyOh, my. I’ve been sitting here trying to think of how to write up this latest report on the live feeds from within the Big Brother 9 house without coming across as soft porn. Am I that old? Am I that out of touch with the lifestyles of the young and foolish?

Am I just a prude?

There’s been a lot going on in the house and I’ll try to write it up in a bit of PG-rated fashion. I love a challenge. No, really. I do.

Read on past the jump for show spoilers!

I know that sex supposedly sells, but I’m beginning to think that totally loose morals had to be in the contract for this season’s houseguests. It’s pretty bad when the ex-Penthouse Pet, the only houseguest over 40, may exhibit the best morals on the show. I’m just sayin’ .

I can see the line in the contract now: “Yes, I will perform sex acts with random abandon. No, my parents won’t sue the show. They’re used to my free-spirited sexual escapades.”

As for actual show-related action in the house, there really hasn’t been much going on. They still have had no food competitions and they don’t even know if there will be any this season. So, there’s no BB Slop and they’re all eating well. The nominations are long done — Jen/Parker and Ryan/Allison. Power of Veto was won by Matt and Natalie, but the ceremony during which they announce whether they’ll use it or not hasn’t happened yet as I get this written.

Whether they’ll use it or not is a good question. Although it seems to be a bit up in the air because Matt is an ally with Parker, it’s my prediction that it won’t be used. Most everyone in the house think that Jen and Ryan need to be split up and the only way to get that done is to have both on the block.

If the nominations remain the same, it stands to be either a 3-1 (couple) vote to evict Jen and Parker, or possibly a tie. If it is a tie, it’s likely that Alex and Amanda will probably save Jen and Parker … mainly because Amanda is hung up on Parker (oh-la-la) and hates Allison.

Here’s some selected lowdown and dirty doings from the feeds:

I don’t know. These just aren’t my people. Yeah, I’ll continue to watch the train wreck, but it’s not as easy when no one in the house really draws me in. I guess my mom didn’t want me to grow up to be a porn star.

Added update — The Power of Veto was NOT used, the nominations remain Parker/Jen and Ryan/Allison. You may return to your regularly scheduled life now.

Thomas Jane Drops Out of The Punisher 2

The Punisher PosterThe Punisher star Thomas Jane revealed to AICN that he is dropping out of the proposed Punisher sequel.

“I regretfully and painfully had to pull out of P2. I can’t tell you how completely broken up I am about it,” Jane wrote. “Punisher fans are already fighting an uphill battle as it is. And I’ve always felt a responsibility to fight that fight for them and with them so that Frank Castle gets the treatment he deserves.”

While I very much hated the Punisher movie, but love the comic book character. I have a feeling that with the success of the family friendly comic book movies, the studio wanted to take the character in a more PG direction. And this is just my assumption.

Jane also wrote:

“What I won’t do is spend months of my life sweating over a movie that I just don’t believe in. I’ve always loved the Marvel guys, and wish them well. Meanwhile, I’ll continue to search for a film that one day might stand with all those films that the fans have asked me to watch.”
