Johnny Depp Wins Big at MTV Movie Awards
It takes someone truly special to have longevity in Hollywood, where everyone is always looking for the next big thing. And last night, Johnny Depp proved that he has what it takes to stay on top in Tinseltown.
At last night’s 2008 MTV Movie Awards, the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” stud cleaned up, winning a total of two awards.
When it came time for him to accept his golden popcorn trophy for Best Comedic Performance for his role as Captain Jack in Pirates of the Caribbean, he told the audience, “I’m not really sure how this happened. You can ask anyone, I’m not a very funny person. I’m not even remotely funny. But that’s very sweet.”
But that was just the start for Depp… he also won the award for Best Villain for his role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He graciously accepted, saying, “This is a great honor. Thank you for everyone who voted for me. Thank you for sticking with me on this very obtuse and strange road. I’m not particularly eloquent at the moment, but thank you so much.”

Scheduled for release in 2008, other notable names co-starring with Keira include Ralph Fiennes and Dominic Cooper.
Orlando Bloom Investigated For Hit and Run
Orlando Bloom Investigated For Hit and Run
It’s a phenomenon that will never make sense, but for some reason celebrities love to break the law when there are ample cameras documenting their every move. The latest case involves Orlando Bloom in a possible hit and run.
Last Friday, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor was out for a spin in his friend’s black Toyota Matrix when he collided with a Porsche Cayenne around 2:15 am. And the paparazzi were in full force, obtaining footage of the incident.
And even though Bloom reported the incident to the police, he could still be in danger of getting charged with hit and run. Footage of the Elizabethtown stud walking away from the collision was released to media outlets this past weekend, and could prove to be damning evidence.
“You have to deal with this. Seriously!” a paparazzo shouted at Orlando as he attempted to leave the scene. Finally, the “Will Turner” actor returned to the wreck to assess the damage.
It is confirmed that Orlando was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. But authorities are yet to release if he’s guilty of hit and run. We’ll keep you updated.

Orlando Bloom Thanks His Lucky Stars
Orlando Bloom Thanks His Lucky Stars
As a follow up to the story we ran last month about Orlando Bloom’s late-night paparazzi-induced car crash, the Englishman opened up to Larry King on his talk show recently.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor told King that even though one of his friends suffered a fractured neck as a result of the accident, he feels lucky that emergency services reacted so quickly.
Bloom said, “It wasn’t a very pleasant situation. But yeah, it is all being resolved. And thankfully, you know, everyone involved is safe and making swift recovery.”
“The police and emergency services came remarkably quickly, we were very lucky.” And despite initial reports that the “Lord of the Rings” stud tried to flee the scene of the accident, police say that he wasn’t guilty of felony hit and run.
