Gerard Butler Trades Sword And Shield For A Huge Gun And Bulletproof Vest

GerardButler.net got a few scans from the Australian version of Empire magazine, which included a few new images of Gerard Butler in Game.

Set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player (Butler) from a game called “Slayers” looks to regain his independence while taking down the game’s mastermind

First Butler had to take down the Persians with their ‘arrows that block out the sun’ and pathetic elephants, and now he has to take down Dexter. Game has a release date of November 30th, but those lucky enough to attend ComicCon will be getting a sneak peek.

Warner Bros. Calls Off Aniston-Jolie Face-Off

Angelina Jolie (Changeling), Jennifer Aniston (He’s Just Not That Into You)

Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston’s box-office face-off has been called off.

The big-screen showdown (and de facto blogger field day) was originally set for Oct. 24, the day both Changeling, starring Jolie, and He’s Just Not That Into You, starring Aniston and a host of other A-listers, were set to open.

Which means Brad Pitt will remain the only person forced to choose between the two.

Warner Bros. confirmed today that it has bumped the release date of Aniston’s vehicle back several months, to Feb. 6, 2009.

No reason was given for the delay, the film’s second overall, though it wouldn’t have been much of a battle to begin with.

Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood, is only scheduled to open in limited release, while the bonanza that will be He’s Just Not That Into You will no doubt be theatrically unavoidable.

Still in the early stages, the Steve Shill directed thriller/drama doesn’t find its way to theaters until its slated February 27, 2009 release date.

Tentative Spider-Man 4 Release Date!

Spider-Man 4 has a new tentative release date, but don’t expect it anytime soon.  According to Spider-Man executive producer Laura Ziskin, the web-slinger should be back in theaters in May… of 2011.

In remarks Thursday to theater owners from California and Nevada, Ziskin said there was no finished screenplay, but that she and Sony Pictures were hopeful “Spider-Man 4” could be ready in three years’ time.

The first three movies comprise one of the most successful franchises in modern Hollywood history, grossing a combined $2.5 billion worldwide. Neither star Tobey Maguire nor director Sam Raimi is yet committed to work on the next installment. But Sony has paid Marvel to renew its rights.

Hopefully, the extra time to think and plot will help make a better movie that SM3!
