Twilight Teaser Trailer
Looks like Twilight won’t be saving Speed Racer after all. Summit Entertainment has released the first teaser trailer for Twilight on MySpace.
Based on the bestselling book series by Stephenie Meyer, and directed by Catherine Hardwicke, Twilight tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father. She becomes drawn to Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a pale, mysterious classmate who is part of a family of vampires. Their unorthodox romance puts her in physical danger when Edward’s nemesis comes to town and sets his sights on Bella.
So far readers have been highly critical of this film adaptation. And while I’m not far off, I’m certainly intrigued by the intense fandom. I’ve even recently discovered some of my friends, who opinions I trust, are actually fans of the series. So I really want to give it a chance. And after watching the teaser trailer, I’m still not sure what to think.
Twilight Poster And Synopsis
We got the teaser trailer last week and now we have a new poster to glare at, along with a new synopsis so that those of us who haven’t read the books know what this Twilight is all about. From the teaser I got a ‘Romeo and Juliet meet vampires’ feel.
TWILIGHT is an action-packed, modern-day love story between a vampire and a human. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn’t expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met. Intelligent and witty, he sees straight into her soul. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Edward can run faster than a mountain lion, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands — and he hasn’t aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he’s immortal. But he doesn’t have fangs, and he doesn’t drink human blood; Edward and his family are unique among vampires in their lifestyle choice. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for — a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward and Bella do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), the Cullens’ mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her?

A cast pic for upcoming Twilight has appeared online. Apparently this vampire flick is going to take over the world, so get your holy water and wooden stakes ready.
As usual the promo has been photoshopped to hell and back, with the main dude at the front (Robert Pattinson played by Edward Cullen) not looking very human…or have they done that on purpose?
