Jennie Garth Gets Back to Beverly Hills 90210
Back in the 1990s “Beverly Hills 90210″ was the show that jump-started her career. And many years later, Jennie Garth is getting back to her roots with a new spin-off.
Spotted on the set of “90210: The Next Generation,” Garth looked excited to be navigating her way through familiar territory. In the new show, she plays a teacher at her alma mater West Beverly High.
And while 90210 alum Tori Spelling has also signed on for the gig, there’s one past castmember who won’t be going anywhere near the project - Luke Perry.
The Dylan McKay actor recently told press that he wasn’t interested in revisiting that era of his career. “I can’t re-imagine it currently. It’s just not something that I’ve thought about to be quite honest. … I don’t see it happening.”
Of his former castmates’ decision to return to the gig, he said, “I wish them a lot of luck. I hope they have a lot of success with it.”
Executive producer Allison Grodner spills some Big Brother 10 news - VIDEO
As Big Brother fans patiently await the press conferences and cast announcements for the new season, executive producer Allison Grodner has already been talking to the internet.
Now, what she has been saying interests me. As a long time fan of both the feeds and the show as well as being privy to the internet fan reaction, I’ve seen folks almost demanding a return of actual strangers in the house and more diversity in casting. Will this be our year? Read on past the jump for the video.
This sounds almost too good to be true. It sounds like we’ll see more than a token older person in the cast. Yikes! Perhaps last year’s sex strategy flopping made them realize that a good portion of the fan base doesn’t tune in just to see if 20-something sleazes have a showmance. Will we truly be back to the roots of the show? Strangers in the house? If so, I think we may have one of the best seasons ever!
Madonna Roots for the Home Team
We’re a little surprised Madge took David (and Lourdes and Rocco, not pictured) to a Yankees game on Sunday. After all, it’s such an American pastimeespecially given the seemingly endless Euro 2008 soccer games they could be watching on ESPN this week.
What’s up next on the agendaapple pie? And does this mean she’s finally ready to drop the faux accent?
Hilary Duff’s a Natural Beauty
Hilary Duff’s a Natural Beauty
Showing off her natural beauty, a makeup-less Hilary Duff was spotted out and about the Los Angeles area on Tuesday (June 17).
Wearing an orange top, jean shorts and cowgirl boots, the Lizzie McGuire star stopped off for breakfast with her mom, Susan Colleen, at Papoos Hot Dog Stand in Toluca Lake.
After finishing up, the mother-daughter duo ran a few errands before heading back home and away from the trailing paparazzi.
As for her career, Hilary recently told press she hopes to be more likely to be considered for more ‘serious’ roles as she portrayed in “War, Inc.”
Nonetheless, we’ll soon be seeing the 20-year-old former Disney queen back to her fun and light-hearted roots in “Foodfight!” which due out in August.
