Jessica Alba Emerges Post-Baby
Jessica Alba Emerges Post-Baby
Earlier this month, Jessica Alba welcomed her baby daughter Honor Marie into the world. And over the weekend she began to re-emerge into the public realm.
The “Fantastic Four” actress and her husband/babydaddy Cash Warren took their daughter to the pediatrician in Santa Monica, California. And the next day the “Dark Angel” hottie did a little grocery shopping near her home.
Alba’s “Sin City” co-star Rosario Dawson recently went on record saying that she’d be a great mother. “She’ll be really attentive and really strong and she’ll be a great role model. She’s very smart and I like that about her.”
“I don’t know what people think about her on the outside or what their impression is, but Jessica is very strong and a very powerful woman. She’ll probably be the disciplinarian more than Cash. I can definitely see that.”
TV stars to be in the new Wonder Woman movie
It’s an animated movie to be put out by DC Comics in the direct-to-DVD market, but it’s a movie nonetheless. The lead voices are Keri Russell (formerly of TV’s Felicity) who plays the Amazon princess and Nathan Fillion (of Firefly fame) who voices Steve Trevor. Other actors providing voices include Virginia Madsen, Rosario Dawson and Alfred Molina.
Going with our Retro Squad theme of the week, a lot of Whedon alumni seem to be lending their voices to DC Comics animation. I’ve been re-watching the two seasons of Justice League Unlimited and voices for that have included half the Firefly line-up: Morena Baccarin, Gina Torres, Adam Baldwin and Nathan Fillion. Also involved were Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof and Juliet Landau from Buffy and Angel. Furthermore, Adam Baldwin and James Marsters were on the Superman: Doomsday DVD and David Boreanaz was involved with the Justice League: New Frontier DVD.
Of course, Whedon himself was involved in the oft-delayed Wonder Woman live-action film. Perhaps there’s a big Joss Whedon/DC Comics conspiracy that I don’t know about?

Angelina Jolie Talks Sin City 2
Angelina Jolie took time off from being pregnant and did the promotion rounds for Wanted. While doing these rounds MTV asked Jolie about Sin City 2. Back in 2006, Rosario Dawson said that Robert Rodriguez was putting the whole thing on hold due to Jolie’s pregnancy. Well time has pasted, Jolie gave birth…then got pregnant again with twins…and will give birth again at some point I presume. So maybe if she’s done adding to the ever growing human population could she take on the role of Ava Lord in Sin City 2?
“I don’t know,” the actress admitted, “I found the first ‘Sin City’ impressive, but I don’t know what they’re going to do with the next one to make [it] as original as the first one,” Jolie said.
But if there’s any trepidation at all on Jolie’s part as to whether or not Miller and Co. can keep the story fresh and invigorating, it’s not for lack of respect.
“I think he’s a genius,” Jolie said of Miller, who masterminded the original graphic novel and co-directed the first film. “I’d be curious [if offered].”
Rachel Weisz was rumoured to be up for the part a while back, so if big lips here doesn’t do it, Weisz might.
