Tony Scott Directs Numb3rs Season Premiere
Big screen director Tony Scott will make his small screen debut, helming the season premiere of Numb3rs. Scott and his brother Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Black Hawk Down) have long served as producers on the mathematical procedural. According to CBS:
“Scott’s episode will serve as a template that freshens up the production values of the show for the fourth season. It picks up where last season’s finale left off, with the discovery that Agent Colby Granger (Dylan Bruno) was a mole within the FBI. Now Agent Don Eppes (Rob Morrow) and the rest of his team, including his mathematician brother, Charlie (David Krumholtz), must deal with the repercussions.”
Scott’s extensive filmography includes: Deja Vu, Domino, Man on Fire, Spy Game, Enemy of the State, The Fan, Crimson Tide, True Romance, The Last Boyscout, Days of Thunder, Beverly Hills Cop II, and Top Gun. Scott’s episode of Numb3rs will broadcast on Friday, September 28th at 10:00pm et/pt on CBS.
My Blueberry Nights Movie Trailer

The Cannes Film Festival is revving up, and promotion has begun on Wong Kar Wai’s debut English language film, My Blueberry Nights. Yesterday we posted a new set of production photos. Today we have the theatrical teaser trailer. Alas, no Natalie Portman or Rachel Weisz footage to be found. But it’s worth the peep none the less. There is a lot of buzz around this film at the festival leading up to it’s premiere.
Official Plot Synopsis:
After a rough break-up, Elizabeth (played by songstress Norah Jones in her screen debut) sets out on a journey across America, leaving behind a life of memories, a dream and a soulful new friend — a café owner (Jude Law) — all while in search of something to mend her broken heart. Waitressing her way through the country, Elizabeth befriends others whose yearnings are greater than hers, including a troubled cop (David Strathairn) and his estranged wife (Rachel Weisz) and a down-on-her luck gambler (Natalie Portman) with a score to settle.
Through these individuals, Elizabeth witnesses the true depths of loneliness and emptiness, and begins to understand that her own journey is part of a greater exploration within herself.

Victoria Beckham’s Post-Spice Girls Career Boost
In need of a helping hand to boost her post-Spice Girls career, Victoria Beckham was looking stylish as she stopped by a London PR firm on Monday (May 12).
The English pop singer/songwriter is also getting a helping hand from Top Gun stud Tom Cruise - who recently granted Posh the opportunity to make her big screen debut.
“Posh has been given a role in the new movie Hardy Men after she was personally hired by Cruise, who is the star of the film,” press reports tell.
For the flick, which is a spoof of the children’s book series The Hardy Boys, Mrs Beckham gets to design the costumes and make a cameo appearance in the film.
