Britney Spears Gets Released From Hospital
Believe it or not, after the hours-long fiasco that landed Britney Spears in the mental ward of Cedars-Sinai Hospital, she’s been released.
Apparently the “5150″ hold wasn’t mandatory after all. And there have been a plethora of reports that the “Gimme More” singer was hellacious to the point that Dr. Phil (yes the bald guy with his own TV show) was brought in.
Britney reportedly tore out her IV, screamed and ranted at the hospital staff, and refused to be subdued during her short stay at the hospital. Doctors said that she has what appears to be a form of bipolar disorder, which cannot keep her at the hospital against her will.
A source reports, “Even though there is significant evidence that Brit has a bipolar disorder, Cedars cannot hold her against her will to treat such a problem. If doctors determine she is no longer a danger, they must let her go.”
Back to Dr. Phil- reportedly he showed up and escorted Britney out of the facility by way of an underground tunnel. And rumor has it that there’s a “Britney Spears Special” coming our way via the Dr. Phil show this coming week. The “Piece of Me” singer may even show up on the set.

Getting an early start to the day, Tom Cruise, Kate Holmes and Suri Cruise departed their Manhattan hotel on Sunday morning (May 4) - bidding farewell to the Big Apple after a short stay.
Heading over to an awaiting helicopter at the Westside Heliport, the Dawson’s Creek cutie carried her 2-year-old angel in her arms - with Tom toting around Suri’s stuffed animal elephant and baby bottle.
As previously reported by , TomKat enjoyed an evening out on Broadway last night, taking in the stage production “The Country Girl” at the Bernard B Jacobs Theatre.
The Hollywood supercouple also grabbed a bite to eat with Jerry Seinfeld’s wife, Jessica, before retiring to their hotel for the evening.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have ended their short stay in New York City, getting a lot accomplished over the past few days.
Just yesterday, Tom attended another press junket for his latest film “Lions for Lambs” while Katie and Suri left the hotel 30 minutes later for a Chelsea Studios photo shoot.
Later in the day, the family packed their bags and were spotted checking out of their Carlyle Hotel suite to make their way to the private jet awaiting them.
Many believe the couple was headed back to Berlin, but we received word that the two are off to London for the premiere of Tom’s new movie.
