Brittany Snow’s Healthy and Happy Living
Brittany Snow’s Healthy and Happy Living
Former American Dreams TV star Brittany Snow told People magazine back in 2007 that she had been diagnosed with anorexia, exercise bulimia, depression, and body dysmorphic disorder as a teenager – and that her weight had even dipped to 85 pounds at one point.
Nowadays, the up and coming actress says the she has shelved her personal trainer and has sworn off dieting altogether. Talk about a turnaround!
“I canceled my trainer.” Snow, 22, told press at Stride Gum’s Longest Day of the Year party in West Hollywood. “I refuse to do the whole diet, fitness, style thing anymore. I just kind of go and have fun. I know what I like, I know what makes me feel good, and that’s just what I do. I go to the gym every day, I eat really well, I buy dresses by myself. I want to work and be with my friends. That’s all I really care about.”
When asked about staying healthy, Brittany tells: “I think more than anything, the thing I’ve learned in being here is that everything else doesn’t matter as long as you’re taking care of yourself and you’re having fun. Just hanging out with my friends and trying to take care of myself, I think that’s the biggest thing.”
The Prom Night star has reportedly credited friend and One Tree Hill actress Sophia Bush for helping to coach her on body image issues.

The finest fashions and figures were on display last night at The Art of Elysium’s “Heaven: Celebrating 10 Years” charity event in Los Angeles, California.
Held at Vibiana, The Art of Elysium is “a non-profit organization founded in 1997, encouraging working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions.”
Stars on hand for the event included everyone from Heroes hottie Ali Larter to former Friends star Courteney Cox-Arquette - who brought husband David Arquette along for the fun.
Joining Ali and Courteney on the red carpet were Rachel Bilson, Kate Walsh, Amy Smart, Sophia Bush and many more, all up for a good cause.

Sophia Bush Takes In Abaete Style
Sophia Bush Takes In Abaete Style
One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush has been busily taking in as much Mercedes Benz fashion week as humanly possible.
Most recently, Bush was spotted on Saturday at the Abaete fall collection preview, which has been described as “Medieval meets Madame Gres”.
Press reports tell of the show: “Designer Laura Poretzky alternated the dresses on her runway at the Bryant Park tents between black wool pieces with armor-like silver studs and chiffon ones with beautifully intricate braided fronts that were graceful and delicate. In between, there were touches of color-blocking - which is already expected to be a trend for this spring - and tailoring, especially wide-leg pants worthy of 1940s film stars like Lauren Bacall and Katharine Hepburn.”
Besides fashion, food is another favorite of Sophia, as she recently told People: “At the end of the day, my family is Italian. [Food is] such a part of my life and family time and enjoyment and a source of real pleasure. It’s not something I’d ever give up. I’m very happy to be a [size] 2-4 [rather] than a double 0.”
Rock & Republic Show Brings Out the Stars
Rock & Republic Show Brings Out the Stars
With Mercedes Benz fashion week in full swing, the big show in New York City on Saturday night was held by Rock & Republic.
An attendee told of the setup: “The runway, it was raised, lacquered, and split down the middle by an orchestra pit filled with musicians performing enthusiastic accompaniments to recordings of songs like Layla and While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”
Celebrities making it out to check out the show, which started late (even by fashion industry standards), included Christina Milian, Joss Stone, Ellen Pompeo, Sophia Bush, Natasha Henstridge and Whitney Port.
While seated in the front row, Joss took a moment to speak to press about meeting First Lady Laura Bush at the Heart Truth Red Dress show a few days ago, saying: “I saw the Bush lady. I care for American politics because it affects the rest of the world so much, but I just don’t really care for the Bush family.”
The 20-year-old singer continued. “I’d actually met her before at the White House and it was like ‘Hey how are you,’ and then she was gone. I mean, to be fair, I guess she seemed like a nice enough chick, but I don’t really know.”
