Gossip Guy Turns 21 Minus His Costar
A little gossip doesn’t bother Ed Westwick.
“I just laugh it off,” he tells People about the rumors that he and his Gossip Girl costar (and roommate) Chace Crawford are more than just friends.
“People who know me and Chace and the cast know that we are all great friends,” Ed tells the mag. “And that’s the extent of it all. Those things that go around are just amusing to us, really.”
But how does Chace feel?
Who knows? He was expected to attend his friend’s celebration but canceled at the last minute.
Still, Ed had plenty of company for his 21st birthday weekend even without his costar. Thirty friends and family members joined him for dinner at Tao. After the meal, he headed to a VIP table at the nightclub upstairs, where he had his first legal drink.
His beverage of choice? Champagne.
Chuck Bass would be proud.

He’s considered one of the hottest guys on television. And last night, Ed Westwick had a celebrity-sized celebration for his 21st birthday at TAO Night Club inside the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The “Gossip Girl” stud was all decked out for the evening, looking festive in a black suit with a white button-up shirt and black tie as he posed for the paparazzi outside the shindig.
And it seems Westwick is the latest guy rumored to be the gay lover of his GG costar Chace Crawford. After blogs claimed they had shared an open-mouth kiss on the set of their show, the rumors began to fly.
But Crawford’s rep vehemently denies any such claims, stating, “These endless rumors are absolutely untrue.” Earlier this year, Chace was supposedly linked to former N’Sync singer JC Chasez.
The “Bye Bye Bye” hunk told press, “That whole story got blown out of whack. It was so stupid, but I’m happy for him because his show is doing great, and he is a great guy.”

For the second straight evening, Paris Hilton and Benji Madden took in the Vegas nightlife - this time in celebration of Allison Melnick’s birthday on Saturday night (June 7).
Joining the former Simple Life star and her Good Charlotte rocker boyfriend at Tao nightclub were Paris’ sister Nicky and her beau David Katzenberg - with the group mixing it up with a little drinking, dancing and socializing.
As previously reported by , Ms Hilton spent the prior evening filming her new MTV reality show, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, at the same popular Sin City nightspot.
During her Friday night festivities, Paris was greeted with her song “Stars Are Blind” before continuing to dance, smoke cigarettes and drink Grey Goose vodka, dashing rumors that she was expecting her first baby.

Getting all dolled up in a stunning black dress, Paris Hilton was spotted out on a pharmacy run in Los Angeles on Friday (June 6).
The former Simple Life star was with boyfriend Benji Madden, who picked up some take away food from a local restaurant near Hilton’s home while she popped into the drug store.
According to paparazzi on the scene, “The two were accompanied by a driver and bodyguard, but Paris was in a delightful mood and walked slowly to the car in her elegant dress with her bodyguard walking behind her.”
Ready to head back home, Benji, like a real gentleman, waited by the car door and opened it for her before getting in himself and being driven off.
Later on in the evening, the hotel heiress jetted off to Vegas and made her way to TAO, as part of filming for her new MTV reality show Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.
